حدثنا أبو العبَّاس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن عبد الحَكم، أخبرنا ابن وهب، أخبرني يحيى بن أيوب، عن زَبّان بن فائد، عن سهل بن معاذ بن أنس، عن أبيه، عن رسول الله ﷺ قال: "لَأَنْ أُشيِّعَ مجاهدًا في سبيلِ الله، فأَكُفَّه على رَحْلِهِ غَدْوةً أو رَوْحةً، أحبُّ إليَّ من الدنيا وما فيها" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

Sayyiduna Sahl bin Mu'adh narrates from his father (may Allah be pleased with him), and he from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "To see off a mujahid in the path of Allah and help him onto his mount, in the morning or the evening, is dearer to me than the world and all that is in it."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

أخبرني أبو أحمد الحسين بن علي التَّميمي، حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن الحسين، حدثنا عمرو بن زرارة، حدثنا زياد بن عبد الله، عن محمد بن إسحاق، عن ثَور ابن يزيد، عن عكرمة، عن ابن عبَّاس، قال: مَشى معهم رسولُ الله ﷺ إلى بَقيع الغَرْقَد حين وجَّهَهم، ثم قال: "انطَلِقوا على اسمِ الله، اللهمَّ أَعِنْهُم" (3). قد احتجَّ البخاري بثور بن يزيد وعِكْرمة، واحتجَّ مسلم بمحمد بن إسحاق، و

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent (a detachment of the Companions) off, he walked with them as far as Baqi' al-Gharqad, then said: "Set off in the name of Allah. O Allah, help them."
Imam Bukhari used Thawr bin Yazid and Ikrimah as evidence, and Imam Muslim used Muhammad bin Ishaq, and this is a gharib (singular) sahih (authentic) hadith, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
