حدَّثَناه أبو العباس، أخبرنا محمد، أخبرنا ابن وهب، حدثني عبد الرحمن ابن شُريح، عن عبد الكريم بن الحارث، عن أبي عُبيدة بن عُقبة، عن شُرَحْبيلَ بن السِّمْط، عن سلمانَ الخيرِ، عن رسول الله ﷺ، نحوه (1).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said something similar.

(1) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن من أجل أبي عبيدة بن عقبة - وهو ابن نافع الفِهري - فقد روى عنه جمع ووثقه ابن حبان، وأخرج مسلم حديثه هذا متابعةً، وقد توبع في الطريق السابقة.
Grading: The hadith is sahih, and on account of Abu 'Ubaydah bin 'Uqbah (Ibn Nafi' al-Fihri) this chain is hasan.
Technical note: A group narrated from him and Ibn Hibban declared him trustworthy. Imam Muslim included his hadith as a "mutaba'ah" (corroboration), and he is corroborated in the previous route.
أخرجه مسلم (1913) عن أبي الطاهر ابن السَّرْح، والنسائي (4361) عن الحارث بن مسكين، كلاهما عن عبد الله بن وهب، بهذا الإسناد.
