No servant spends a pair of every kind of his wealth in the path of Allah except that the gatekeepers of Paradise will receive him

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him). Sa'sa'ah bin Mu'awiyah said: I asked Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him): What is your wealth? He said: My wealth is my deeds, my wealth is my deeds. I said: Narrate a hadith to me. He said: Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no servant who spends a pair (two items) from every kind of his wealth in the way of Allah, except that the gatekeepers of Paradise come forward to receive him, each of them calling him to himself." I asked: How is that? He said: "If they are slaves, then two; if they are camels, then two; and if they are cows, then two."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration. Sa'sa'ah bin Mu'awiyah is among the illustrious men of the Arabs, and the companions of al-Hasan al-Basri narrated it from him.

I heard Abu al-Abbas Muhammad bin Ya'qub say: I heard Abbas bin Muhammad al-Duri say: I heard Yahya bin Ma'in say: Sa'sa'ah bin Mu'awiyah was the companion of Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), and he is the brother of Jazi bin Mu'awiyah.

I heard Abu Hafs Umar bin Ja'far al-Basri, the hafiz, say more than once: The people of Basrah have no chapter (of knowledge) better than the chains of the hadith of Imam al-Hasan from Sa'sa'ah.
Imam al-Hakim said: So I searched for the chains of this hadith and gathered them. Then, when we met a second time in Baghdad, I mentioned it to him, and he gave me valuable information about it that I did not have before. Then one day I told this story to al-Hakim Abu Ahmad, the hafiz (may Allah have mercy on him), and discussed it with him, and he asked me: Who other than Sa'sa'ah narrated this hadith from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him)? And I could not remember.

It is narrated from Sulaym bin Amir that a man asked Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him): "What is your wealth?" He said: "My wealth is my deeds." Then he narrated the long hadith.
The two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) recorded, through the narration of al-Zuhri, the hadith: "Whoever spends a pair from his wealth in the way of Allah," but its wording differs from the narration of Sa'sa'ah.
