It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The dust of the path of Allah and the smoke of Hell can never be gathered on the face of a Muslim."

Hadith Takhrij«
Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: This hadith is sahih, but this chain is weak like the previous one. Technical note / Defect ('illah): There is disagreement on Hammad bin Salamah over identifying the name of Abu al-Lajlaj. Reference / Source: In al-Nasa'i (4304), 'Amr bin 'Ali al-Fallas narrated it with this same chain and named Abu al-Lajlaj "Khalid bin al-Lajlaj". Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad at (8512) narrated it via 'Uthman bin Muslim from Hammad bin Salamah and gave the name as "al-Qa'qa' bin al-Lajlaj". Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad (8512), narrating it via 'Affan bin Muslim from Hammad bin Salamah from Muhammad bin 'Amr from Safwan bin Sulaym, gives the name as "al-Qa'qa'". Technical note / Defect ('illah): Hammad bin Salamah says that one of them (Suhayl and Muhammad bin 'Amr) said al-Qa'qa' bin al-Lajlaj and the other said al-Lajlaj bin al-Qa'qa'. (7860). Note / Clarification: It will come from Abu Hurayra (may Allah be pleased with him) with another sahih chain at hadith (7860).
