1 وَالْأَصْلُ فِيهِ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ

3 hadith (2617 — 2619)

2 تَنَفَّلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَيْفَهُ ذَا الْفَقَارِ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) took his sword Dhu al-Fiqar as an extra share on the day of Badr

3 مَنْ كُنْتُ وَلِيَّهُ فَإِنَّ عَلِيًّا وَلِيُّهُ

Whoever I am the patron of, Ali is his patron

4 كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ لَا يُسْأَلُ شَيْئًا إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ أَوْ سَكَتَ

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was never asked for anything except that he gave it or remained silent

5 أَعْطَى الْفَارِسَ سَهْمَيْنِ وَأَعْطَى الرَّاجِلَ سَهْمًا

He gave the horseman two shares and the foot soldier one share

6 شَأْنُ نُزُولِ سُورَةِ الْأَنْفَالِ

The occasion of the revelation of Surah al-Anfal

The supplication of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for the people of Badr

8 تَنَفُّلُ الرُّبْعِ فِي الْبَدْأَةِ وَالثُّلُثِ فِي الرَّجْعَةِ

Giving a quarter as an extra share on the outward raid and a third on the return

9 تَنْفِيلُ الثُّلُثِ بَعْدَ الْخُمُسِ

Giving a third as an extra share after the fifth is taken out

11 النَّهْيُ عَنِ الْخُلْسَةِ وَالْمُجَسَّمَةِ وَأَنْ تُوطَأَ السَّبَايَا حَتَّى يَضَعْنَ مَا فِي بُطُونِهِنَّ

The prohibition of snatching, of animals tied up and shot, and of having intercourse with female captives until they give birth

12 قِصَّةُ إِسْلَامِ رَاعِي غَنَمٍ وَشَهَادَتِهِ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ لِلَّهِ سَجْدَةً

The story of a shepherd who accepted Islam and was martyred without having made a single prostration to Allah

13 النَّهْيُ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْمَغَانِمِ حَتَّى تُقْسَمَ وَعَنِ الْحَبَالَى حَتَّى يَضَعْنَ مَا فِي بُطُونِهِنَّ

The prohibition of selling spoils of war until they are divided, and of pregnant captives until they give birth

14 لَا يُقْتَلُ مُؤْمِنٌ بِكَافِرٍ وَلَا ذُو عَهْدٍ فِي عَهْدِهِ .

A believer is not killed for a disbeliever, nor one under covenant during his covenant

15 يُجِيرُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي أَدْنَاهُمْ .

The lowest of my Ummah may grant protection on their behalf

16 لَا تُسَاكِنُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ وَلَا تُجَامِعُوهُمْ .

Do not live with the polytheists or associate with them

17 دُعَاؤُهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا خَافَ قَوْمًا

The supplication of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he feared a people

18 مَنْ قَتَلَ مُعَاهِدًا فِي غَيْرِ كُنْهِهِ حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ الْجَنَّةَ

Whoever kills a person under covenant without just cause, Allah has forbidden Paradise to him

19 الرُّسُلُ لَا تُقْتَلُ .

Envoys are not killed

2 hadith (2664 — 2665)

20 غَزْوَةٌ فِي الْبَحْرِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ عَشْرِ غَزَوَاتٍ فِي الْبَرِّ .

A campaign at sea is better than ten campaigns on land

21 الَّذِي مَاتَ مُرَابِطًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ يَنْمُو لَهُ عَمَلُهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيُؤَمَّنُ فِتْنَةَ الْقَبْرِ .

One who dies guarding the frontier in the path of Allah, his deeds continue to grow until the Day of Resurrection

22 بَيَانُ سَعَادَةِ الْمَرْءِ وَشَقَاوَتِهِ .

Explanation of a person's happiness and misery

23 إِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ لَا تَحِلُّ لِعَاصٍ .

Paradise is not lawful for a disobedient person
