النَّهْيُ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْمَغَانِمِ حَتَّى تُقْسَمَ وَعَنِ الْحَبَالَى حَتَّى يَضَعْنَ مَا فِي بُطُونِهِنَّ

أخبرني عبد الله بن سعد الحافظ، حدثنا إبراهيم بن أبي طالب، حدثنا عمرو بن علي وأحمد بن المِقْدام، قالا: حدثنا أبو بحر البَكْراوي، حدثنا شعبة، حدثنا أبو العَنْبس، عن أبي الشَّعْثاء، عن ابن عباس، قال: جعلَ رسولُ الله ﷺ في فِداء الأُسارى أهلِ الجاهلية أربعَ مئة (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) fixed the ransom of the captives, the people of Jahiliyyah, at four hundred (dirhams).
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
