It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that a leather pouch containing beads from the spoils of war was brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) distributed it equally between the free women and the slave women.
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: Its chain is sahih. Technical note / Defect ('illah): "Ibn Abi Dhi'b" refers to Muhammad bin 'Abd al-Rahman bin al-Mughirah. Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad narrated it at (42/ 25261) via 'Uthman bin 'Umar with this same chain, but the word "sawa'an" (equally) is not in it. Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad narrated it at (42/ 25229) from Abu al-Nadr Hashim bin al-Qasim and at (43/ 26010) from Yazid bin Harun, and Abu Dawud (2952) by way of 'Isa bin Yunus al-Sabi'i; all three narrate it from Ibn Abi Dhi'b. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abu al-Nadr and 'Isa did not mention the word "sawa'an" in their narrations. Note / Clarification: "Al-zabyah" means a small leather bag with hair on it, or a provisions bag; it has also been said that it is something like a pouch or sack.
