Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 2641

(1) إسناده حسن في المتابعات والشواهد كسابقه، لكن لم يذكر فيه ابنُ إسحاق في روايته أبا سلَّام ممطورًا الحبشيَّ بين مكحول وأبي أمامة، والصحيح ذكره كما في رواية إسماعيل بن جعفر السالفة قبله، ورواية غيره ممَّن تابعه ممَّن روى الحديثَ بطوله، كما تقدم بيانه برقم (2435).
Grading: Like the previous hadith, its chain is "hasan" on the basis of corroborations and supporting reports.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Ibn Ishaq did not mention "Abu Sallam Mamtur al-Habashi" between Makhul and Abu Umamah in his narration, whereas the correct view is to mention him, as in the preceding narration of Isma'il bin Ja'far and in the narrations of the other narrators who corroborated this long hadith, the details of which have preceded at no. (2435).
وأخرجه مختصرًا أحمد (37/ 22747) عن محمد بن سلمة، و (22753) من طريق إبراهيم بن سعد، كلاهما عن محمد بن إسحاق، بهذا الإسناد عن أبي أمامة قال: سألت عبادة بن الصامت ¤ ¤ عن الأنفال، فقال: فينا معشر أصحاب بدر نزلت حين اختلفنا في النَّفَل وساءت فيه أخلاقُنا، فانتزعه الله من أيدينا، وجعله إلى رسول الله ﷺ، فقسمه رسول الله ﷺ بين المسلمين عن بَوَاء؛ يقول: على السَّواء.
Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad narrated it in abridged form at (37/ 22747) from Muhammad bin Salamah and at (22753) by way of Ibrahim bin Sa'd, both from Muhammad bin Ishaq, with this same chain.
Details of the narration: 'Ubadah bin al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about the "anfal" (spoils), and he said: "It was revealed about us, the people of Badr, when we disagreed about the nafl (extra spoils) and our conduct in the matter became bad; so Allah took that wealth out of our hands and handed it over to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) distributed it among the Muslims on the basis of 'bawa'', that is, equality".

وتقدمت منه قطعة برقم (2435) من طريق أبي إسحاق الفزاري عن عبد الرحمن بن عياش، وهو عبد الرحمن بن الحارث بن عبد الله بن عياش نفسُه، نسبه لجد أبيه.

Technical note / Defect ('illah): Here "'Abd al-Rahman bin 'Ayyash" is the same "'Abd al-Rahman bin al-Harith bin 'Abd Allah bin 'Ayyash", who has been attributed to his great-grandfather.
