حدَّثَناه أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا الربيع بن سُليمان، حدثنا أسَد بن موسى، حدثنا عبد الله بن رجاء، عن عمر بن محمد بن المُنكَدِر، عن سُمَيٍّ، عن أبي صالح، عن أبي هريرة، قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "مَن ماتَ ولم يَغْزُ، وليس في نفسِه الغَزْوُ، مات على شُعبةٍ من النفاق" (1).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever dies without having fought, and without the intention of fighting in his heart, dies upon a branch of hypocrisy."
