أخبرنا أحمد بن محمد العَنَزي، حدثنا عثمان (2) بن سعيد الدارمي، حدثنا هشام بن عبد الملك الطَّيالسي، حدثنا سليمان بن كثير، حدثنا الزُّهْري، عن عطاء بن يزيد، عن أبي سعيد الخُدْري، عن النبي ﷺ، أنه سُئِلَ: أَيُّ المؤمنين أكمَلُ إيمانًا؟ قال: "الذي يجاهِدُ في سبيلِ الله بنَفْسِه ومالِه، ورجلٌ يعبُد الله في شِعْبٍ من الشُّعَبِ، وقد كفى الناسَ شَرَّهُ" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: "Which of the believers is most complete in faith?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one who strives in the path of Allah with his life and his wealth, and a man who worships Allah in one of the mountain passes and keeps people safe from his evil."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

Note / Correction: In the manuscripts the name has been mistakenly written as "Muhammad".
(3) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن من أجل سليمان بن كثير - وهو العبدي - وقد توبع.
Grading: "The hadith is sahih"; on account of Sulayman bin Kathir al-'Abdi the chain is "hasan", and there are corroborations.
وأخرجه أبو داود (2485) عن أبي الوليد هشام بن عبد الملك الطيالسي، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Imam Abu Dawud narrated it via Hisham bin 'Abd al-Malik.
وأخرجه أحمد 18/ (11535) عن عفان بن مسلم، عن سليمان بن كثير، به
