2 حِكَايَةُ إِسْلَامِ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ رَافِعٍ

The story of Rifa'ah bin Rafi (may Allah be pleased with him) accepting Islam

1 hadith (7427 — 7427)

3 بِرَّ أُمَّكَ ثُمَّ أَبَاكَ ثُمَّ الْأَقْرَبَ فَالْأَقْرَبَ

Be dutiful to your mother, then your father, then the next closest

5 hadith (7428 — 7432)

4 إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى يُوصِيكُمْ بِالْأَقْرَبِ فَالْأَقْرَبِ

Allah enjoins you to be good to your close relatives

3 hadith (7433 — 7435)

5 رِضَى الرَّبِّ فِي رِضَى الْوَالِدِ وَسَخَطُ الرَّبِّ فِي سَخَطِ الْوَالِدِ

The pleasure of the Lord lies in the pleasure of the father, and the anger of the Lord lies in the anger of the father

6 الْوَالِدُ أَوْسَطُ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ

The father is the middle gate of Paradise

7 لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الْعَاقَّ لِوَالِدَيْهِ وَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ مُنْتَقِصَ مَنَارِ الْأَرْضِ

Allah has cursed the one who is undutiful to his parents and the one who alters the boundary markers of land

8 مَنْ بَرَّ وَالِدَيْهِ زَادَ اللَّهُ فِي عُمُرِهِ

Whoever is dutiful to his parents, Allah lengthens his life

9 بِرُّوا آبَاءَكُمْ تَبَرَّكُمْ أَبْنَاؤُكُمْ

Be dutiful to your parents and your children will be dutiful to you

10 حِكَايَةُ امْرَأَةٍ فَزِعَتْ مِنْ عَمَلِ السِّحْرِ

The story of a woman frightened by an act of sorcery

11 كُلُّ الذُّنُوبِ يُؤَخِّرُ اللَّهُ مَا شَاءَ مِنْهَا إِلَّا عُقُوقَ الْوَالِدَيْنِ

Allah delays the punishment of every sin as He wills, except undutifulness to parents

13 ارْحَمُوا أَهْلَ الْأَرْضِ يَرْحَمْكُمْ أَهْلُ السَّمَاءِ

Show mercy to those on earth and the One above the heavens will show mercy to you

14 مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يُدْفَعَ عَنْهُ مِيتَةُ السُّوءِ فَلْيَصِلْ رَحِمَهُ

Whoever would like an evil death to be averted from him should maintain kinship ties

15 إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيُعَمِّرُ بِالْقَوْمِ الزَّمَانَ بِصِلَتِهِمْ لِأَرْحَامِهِمْ

Allah prolongs the time of a people because of their maintaining kinship ties

16 تَعَلَّمُوا مِنْ أَنْسَابِكُمْ مَا تَصِلُوا بِهِ أَرْحَامَكُمْ

Learn enough of your lineage to maintain your kinship ties

17 مَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُمَدَّ فِي رِزْقِهِ فَلْيَصِلْ ذَا رَحِمِهِ

Whoever wants his provision expanded should be good to his relatives

18 يَجِيءُ الرَّحِمُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَيَتَكَلَّمُ

Kinship will come forward and speak on the Day of Resurrection

19 لَا تَحِلُّ الْهِجْرَةُ بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ

It is not permissible for a man to forsake his brother for more than three days

20 مَنْ هَجَرَ أَخَاهُ سَنَةً فَهُوَ كَسَفْكِ دَمِهِ

Whoever forsakes his brother for a year, it is as if he has shed his blood

21 إِكْرَامُ الْمُرْضِعَةِ

Honouring the wet nurse

22 خَيْرُ الْأَصْحَابِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ خَيْرُهُمْ لِصَاحِبِهِ

The best companion with Allah is the one who is best to his companion

23 لَيْسَ بِمُؤْمِنٍ مَنْ لَا يَأْمَنُ جَارُهُ غَوَائِلَهُ

He is not a believer whose neighbour is not safe from his harm

24 إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُعْطِي الْإِيمَانَ إِلَّا مَنْ يُحِبُّ

Allah gives faith only to those He loves

25 لَيْسَ الْمُؤْمِنُ الَّذِي يَبِيتُ وَجَارُهُ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ جَائِعٌ

He is not a believer who sleeps with a full stomach while his neighbour is hungry

26 لَا يَشْبَعُ الرَّجُلُ دُونَ جَارِهِ

A man should not eat his fill while leaving his neighbour hungry

27 دَاءُ الْأُمَمِ الْأَشَرُ وَالْبَطَرُ

The disease of nations is arrogance and insolence

28 أَحِبَّ لِأَخِيكَ مَا تُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِكَ

Love for your brother what you love for yourself

29 الْمُتَحَابُّونَ فِي اللَّهِ يُظِلُّهُمُ اللَّهُ فِي ظِلِّ عَرْشِهِ يَوْمَ لَا ظِلَّ إِلَّا ظِلُّهُ

Allah will shade those who love one another for His sake in the shade of His Throne

30 لِلَّهِ عِبَادٌ يَغْبِطُهُمُ النَّبِيُّونَ وَالصِّدِّيقُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

Allah has servants whom the prophets and the truthful will envy on the Day of Resurrection

31 الْمَرْءُ عَلَى دِينِ خَلِيلِهِ فَلْيَنْظُرْ مَنْ يُخَالِلُ

A man follows the religion of his close friend, so look at whom you befriend

32 إِذَا أَحَبَّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ فَلْيُعْلِمْهُ إِيَّاهُ

When one of you loves his brother, let him tell him

33 حَقُّ الزَّوْجِ عَلَى الزَّوْجَةِ

The rights of the husband over the wife

34 خَيْرُكُمْ خَيْرُكُمْ لِلنِّسَاءِ

The best of you are those who are best to their women

35 أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ مَاتَتْ وَزَوْجُهَا عَنْهَا رَاضٍ دَخَلَتِ الْجَنَّةَ

A woman who dies while her husband is pleased with her will enter Paradise

36 الْمَرْأَةُ خُلِقَتْ مِنْ ضِلْعٍ أَعْوَجَ

Woman was created from a crooked rib

37 لَا يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَى امْرَأَةٍ لَا تَشْكُرُ لِزَوْجِهَا

Allah does not look at a woman who is ungrateful to her husband

38 أَعْظَمُ النَّاسِ حَقًّا عَلَى الرَّجُلِ أُمُّهُ

The greatest right over a man is that of his mother

39 صِلَةُ النَّبِيِّ إِلَى صَدَائِقِ خَدِيجَةَ

The kindness of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to the friends of Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her)

40 لَا تَنَمْ إِلَّا عَلَى وِتْرٍ

Do not sleep without praying Witr

41 إِنَّ الْوُدَّ وَالْعَدَاوَةَ يُتَوَارَثَانِ

Love and enmity are inherited

42 مَنْ كُنَّ لَهُ ثَلَاثُ بَنَاتٍ فَصَبَرَ عَلَى لَأْوَائِهِنَّ أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ

Whoever has three daughters and is patient with their hardship and difficulty, Allah will admit him to Paradise

43 مَنْ عَالَ جَارِيَتَيْنِ حَتَّى تُدْرِكَا دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ أَنَا وَهُوَ كَهَاتَيْنِ

Whoever raises two girls until they reach maturity, he and I will be in Paradise like these two fingers

44 مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ تُدْرِكُ لَهُ ابْنَتَانِ إِلَّا أَدْخَلَتَاهُ الْجَنَّةَ

A Muslim whose two daughters reach maturity, they will lead him into Paradise

45 مَنْ لَمْ يَرْحَمْ صَغِيرَنَا وَيَعْرِفْ حَقَّ كَبِيرِنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

He is not one of us who does not show mercy to our young and does not recognise the right of our elders
