2 إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَا يُحَاسَبُ بِهِ الْعَبْدُ الْمَاءُ الْبَارِدُThe first blessing a servant will be asked about is cold water
3 كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ ثَلَاثًاThe Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to breathe three times while drinking from a vessel
4 أَمِطِ الْإِنَاءَ عَنْ فِيكَ ثُمَّ تَنَفَّسْTake the vessel away from your mouth to breathe
5 أَوْكِئُوا الْأَسْقِيَةَ وَغَلِّقُوا الْأَبْوَابَ إِذَا رَقَدْتُمْ بِاللَّيْلِWhen you go to sleep at night, tie up the waterskins and shut the doors
6 مَنْ لَبِسَ الْحَرِيرَ فِي الدُّنْيَا لَمْ يَلْبَسْهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِWhoever wears silk in this world will not wear it in the Hereafter
7 الزَّبِيبُ وَالتَّمْرُ هُوَ الْخَمْرُ - يَعْنِي إِذَا انْتُبِذَ جَمِيعًا -Raisins and dates soaked together are wine, that is, when nabidh is made of both together
8 ذِكْرُ أَحَادِيثِ تَحْرِيمِ الْخَمْرِHadiths on the prohibition of wine
9 شَأْنُ نُزُولِ لَيْسَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ جُنَاحٌThe occasion of revelation of the verse "There is no sin upon those who believe and do righteous deeds"
10 حُرِّمَتِ الْخَمْرُ وَجُعِلَتْ عَدْلًا لِلشِّرْكِWine was prohibited and equated with shirk
11 إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَعَنَ الْخَمْرَ وَشَارِبَهَاAllah has cursed wine and the one who drinks it
12 اجْتَنِبُوا الْخَمْرَ فَإِنَّهَا مِفْتَاحُ كُلِّ شَرٍّAvoid wine, for it is the key to every evil
13 ذِكْرُ ثَلَاثَةٍ لَا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَThe three who will not enter Paradise
14 إِنَّ أَعْظَمَ الْكَبَائِرِ شُرْبُ الْخَمْرِThe greatest of the major sins is drinking wine
15 كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌEvery intoxicant is unlawful
