It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: We used to prepare three covered vessels for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): one for his (peace and blessings be upon him) purification (ablution), one for his (peace and blessings be upon him) tooth-stick (miswak), and one for his (peace and blessings be upon him) drink.
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): In the manuscripts this name has been corrupted and wrongly written as "Sa'd".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): In the manuscripts this word has been corrupted into "al-Huraythi".
Note / Clarification: It is so recorded in the manuscripts, whereas with the other scholars who narrated this hadith the words are "thalathat aniyah" (three vessels), and that is correct.
Grading: Its chain is "da'if" (weak) because al-Harish bin al-Khirrit is a weak narrator. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Ibn Abi Mulaykah in the chain is 'Abd Allah bin 'Ubayd Allah. Reference / Source: Ibn Majah narrated it in (361) and (3412) through the route of 'Ismah bin al-Fadl and Yahya bin Hakim, from Harami bin 'Umarah, with this same chain.
