أخبرنا أبو العباس محمد بن أحمد المحبوبي، حدثنا سعيد بن مسعود، حدثنا يزيد بن هارون أخبرنا حمّاد بن سَلَمة، عن يعلى بن عطاء، عن نافع بن عاصم، عن عبد الله بن عمرو، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "من شَرِبَ الخمرَ فسَكِرَ منها، لم تُقبَلْ له صلاةُ أربعين يومًا، ثم إن شَرِبَها حتى يَسكَر، لم تُقبَلْ له صلاةُ أربعينَ يومًا، ثمَّ إن شَرِبَها حتى يَسكَر منها، لم تُقبَلْ له صلاةُ أربعينَ يومًا، ثمَّ إِن شَرِبَها الرابعَة فسَكِرَ منها، كان حقًّا على الله أن يَسقِيَه من عين الخَبَال" قيل: وما الخَبَالُ؟ قال: "صَدِيدُ أهلِ النار" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever drinks wine and becomes intoxicated by it, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days. Then if he drinks it again until he becomes intoxicated, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days. Then if he drinks it a third time and becomes intoxicated, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days. And if he drinks it a fourth time and becomes intoxicated, it is a right upon Allah Almighty that He make him drink from 'Ayn al-Khabal.'" It was asked: "What is 'Khabal'?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The pus of the people of the Fire (the inhabitants of Hell)."

(1) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد حسن في المتابعات والشواهد من أجل نافع بن عاصم - وهو ابن عروة بن مسعود الثقفي - فقد روى عنه اثنان ووثقه العجلي، وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات".
Grading: It is a "sahih hadith".
Technical note / Defect ('illah): In corroborating chains and supporting reports this chain is "hasan" because of Nafi' bin 'Asim (the son of 'Urwah bin Mas'ud al-Thaqafi); two narrators narrated from him, al-'Ijli declared him trustworthy, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in "al-Thiqat".
وأخرجه أحمد 11 / (6773) عن بهز بن أسد، عن حماد بن سلمة، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad recorded it 11/ (6773) from Bahz bin Asad, from Hammad bin Salamah, with this chain.
وسلف ضمن الحديث (83) بإسناد صحيح.
