ما حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا الرّبيع بن سليمان، حدثنا أسَد بن موسى حدثنا إسماعيل بن عيّاش عن بَحِير بن سعد، عن خالد بن مَعْدان عن المِقْدام بن مَعْدي كَرِبَ، عن النبيِّ ﷺ قال: "إنَّ الله تعالى يُوصِيكم الأَقرَب فالأقربَ" (2). إسماعيل بن عياش أحدُ أئمّة أهلِ الشام إنما نُقِمَ عليه سوءُ الحفظ فقط. ومنها:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Miqdam bin Ma'dikarib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty enjoins you to be kind to your nearest relatives, and then the next nearest."

(2) إسناده حسن، إسماعيل بن عياش صدوق في روايته عن أهل بلده، وهذه منها.
Grading: Its chain is hasan.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Isma'il bin 'Ayyash is "saduq" (truthful) when he narrates from the people of his own land (the people of Sham), and this narration is one of those.
وأخرجه أحمد 28/ (17187) عن خلف بن الوليد، وابن ماجه (3661) عن هشام بن عمار، كلاهما عن إسماعيل بن عياش، بهذا الإسناد. ولفظه: "إنَّ الله يوصيكم بأمهاتكم ثلاثًا، إنَّ الله يوصيكم بآبائكم، إنَّ الله يوصيكم بالأقرب فالأقرب".
Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad recorded it 28/ (17187) from Khalaf bin al-Walid, and Ibn Majah (3661) from Hisham bin 'Ammar; both of them from Isma'il bin 'Ayyash, with this chain.
Details of the narration: Its wording is: "Indeed Allah enjoins you regarding your mothers (three times), indeed Allah enjoins you regarding your fathers, indeed Allah enjoins you regarding the nearest and then the next nearest."
وأخرجه أحمد (17184) من طريق بقية بن الوليد، عن بحير بن سعد، به. مختصرًا كرواية المصنِّف.
