Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 7434

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I slept and saw myself in Paradise. There I heard the voice of a reciter reciting (the Qur'an). I asked: Who is this? The angels replied: This is Harithah bin al-Nu'man. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Such is the reward of righteousness'; and he was the kindest of people to his mother."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs, but they did not record it with this wording. Ibn Uyaynah and other narrators reported it mentioning that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) entered Paradise, but they did not mention sleep in it, nor kindness to his mother.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: (1) Its chain is sahih.
Reference / Source: It is in "Jami' Ma'mar" (20119). It is like this in the narration of Ma'mar's "Jami'", and this agrees with what Ahmad bin Mansur al-Ramadi stated, as al-Bayhaqi narrated from him with a chain in "al-Ba'th wa al-Nushur" (198).
Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad recorded it 42/ (25182) and (25337), and al-Nasa'i (8176) by way of Muhammad bin Rafi' and Ishaq bin Rahawayh, and Ibn Hibban (7015) by way of Muhammad bin al-Mutawakkil bin Abi al-Sari; all four of them (Ahmad, Ishaq and the two Muhammads) from 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from 'Amrah, from 'A'ishah.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): So they put "'Amrah bint 'Abd al-Rahman" in place of 'Urwah (who is Ibn al-Zubayr); whichever it is, both are thiqah (trustworthy).
