Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 7461
اُردوEn
فأخبرَناه أبو النَّضر الفقيه وأبو الحسن العَنَزي، قالا: حدثنا عثمان بن سعيد، حدثنا علي بن المَدِيني، حدثنا سفيان، عن عمرو بن دينار، عن أبي قابُوس، قال: سمعتُ عبد الله بن عمرو يرفعُه إلى النبيِّ ﷺ، قال: "الراحمون يَرحَمُهم الله ارحَمَوا أهلَ الأرض يَرحَمْكم أهلُ السماء، الرَّحِمُ شُجْنةٌ من الرحمن، فمَن وَصَلَها وصلَه، ومَن قَطَعَها قطعَه" (2). قال الحاكم رحمه الله تعالى: وهذه الأسانيد كلها صحيحة، وإنما استقصيتُ في أسانيدها بذكر الصحابة ﵃، لئلا يتوهَّمَ متوهمٌ أنَّ الشيخين ﵄ لم يُهمِلا الأحاديثَ الصحيحة.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he narrated it as a saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those who show mercy, al-Rahman shows mercy to them. Show mercy to those on the earth, and the One in the heaven will show mercy to you. The tie of kinship (al-rahim) is a branch from al-Rahman; so whoever joins it, Allah will join him, and whoever severs it, Allah will cut him off."
Imam al-Hakim says: All of these chains are sahih (authentic). I have examined their chains exhaustively, mentioning the Companions, so that no one imagines that the two Shaykhs did not leave out any authentic hadith.

(2) صحيح لغيره، وهذا حديث محتمل للتحسين أبو قابوس - وهو مولى عبد الله بن عمرو - تفرَّد بالرواية عنه عمرو بن دينار، وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات"، وصحَّح حديثه الترمذي. سفيان: هو ابن عيينة.
Grading: This narration is "sahih li-ghayrihi", and this hadith can possibly be graded hasan.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abu Qabus - the client (mawla) of 'Abdullah bin 'Amr - is narrated from only by 'Amr bin Dinar; Ibn Hibban mentioned him in "al-Thiqat", and Imam al-Tirmidhi declared his hadith sahih. Sufyan in the chain is "Ibn 'Uyaynah".
وأخرجه أحمد 11/ (6494)، وأبو داود (4941)، والترمذي (1924) من طرق عن سفيان بن عيينة، بهذا الإسناد. ورواية أبي داود مختصرة. وقال الترمذي حديث حسن صحيح.
Reference / Source: Imam Ahmad (11/ 6494), Abu Dawud (4941) and al-Tirmidhi (1924) recorded it through various routes from Sufyan bin 'Uyaynah, with this chain. The narration of Abu Dawud is abridged.
Grading: Imam al-Tirmidhi said: This hadith is "hasan sahih".
وسيأتي بنحو شطره الثاني برقم (7475).

ويشهد لشطره الأول حديث جرير بن عبد الله عند البخاري (7276)، ومسلم (2319)، وهو في "مسند أحمد" 31 / (19164).
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: Its first half is supported by the hadith of Jarir bin 'Abdullah in al-Bukhari (7276) and Muslim (2319), and it is also in "Musnad Ahmad" (31/ 19164).
