It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever two men love one another for the pleasure of Allah Almighty, the better of the two is the one whose love for his companion is more intense."
Imam al-Hakim said that the chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: (1) This hadith is hasan because of Mubarak bin Fadalah; he explicitly stated that he heard it directly in versions other than the author's, which removes the suspicion of his tadlis. Muhammad bin Sinan al-Qazzaz, although layyin (soft/weak), has been corroborated.
Note / Clarification: Abu 'Asim is al-Dahhak bin Makhlad al-Shaybani.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Imam al-Bukhari in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (544) from Musa bin Isma'il, and by Ibn Hibban (566) via the route of Muhammad bin Yazid al-Farra'; both of them narrate it from Mubarak bin Fadalah with this same chain. In both of their versions Mubarak explicitly stated that he heard it directly (tahdith). See the rest of its takhrij in "Sahih Ibn Hibban".
