It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him honour his neighbour." And then he mentioned the complete hadith.
Imam al-Hakim (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I heard Ali bin Isa saying that he heard Abu Bakr Muhammad bin Ishaq saying: Malik bin Anas, in the matter of this chain, has a stronger memory than a number of people like Abd al-Rahman bin Ishaq; and Abd al-Hamid bin Ja'far has corroborated Malik bin Anas in this narration.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
(2312). Grading: This hadith is sahih, and this chain is hasan because of 'Abd al-Rahman bin Ishaq - who is Ibn 'Abdullah bin al-Harith al-'Amiri al-Madani - and a group of narrators have corroborated him, as al-Daraqutni mentioned in "al-'Ilal" (1465). Technical note / Defect ('illah): He (al-Daraqutni) also indicated that this hadith is mahfuz (preserved) as a narration of Abu Hurayrah, but Abu Hatim al-Razi judged the hadith of Sa'id al-Maqburi from Abu Shurayh to be the preserved one, as stated in "al-'Ilal" (2312). Reference / Source: It was narrated in abridged form by al-Tabarani in "Makarim al-Akhlaq" (215) from Mu'adh bin al-Muthanna, from Musaddad bin Musarhad, with this same chain. Reference / Source: It was narrated in full by Abu Ya'la (6590) via the route of Khalid bin 'Abdullah, and in abridged form by Ibn Hibban (5284) via the route of Ibn 'Ulayyah; both of them narrate it from 'Abd al-Rahman bin Ishaq with this same chain. Technical note / Defect ('illah): In Abu Ya'la's version the word is "his guest" in place of "his neighbour". This is the point of evidence, because the completion of the hadith for which he (al-Hakim) intended to adduce proof concerns hospitality for a day and a night or more. Reference / Source: It was narrated by Imam Ahmad (13/ 7873, 15/ 9564) via the route of Abu Salamah, at (16/ 10627) via the route of Muhammad bin Sirin, and at (14/ 8645), as well as by Abu Dawud (3749), via the route of Abu Salih; all three (Abu Salamah, Ibn Sirin and Abu Salih) narrate it from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) as marfu': "Hospitality is three days; whatever is beyond that is charity." Grading: All of their chains are sahih. (7976). Important point: See the narration after it, and also the one coming at number (7976).
Note / Clarification: Here (the speaker) is Imam Muhammad bin Ishaq bin Khuzaymah, and it is he who says shortly afterwards: "Bundar narrated this hadith to us."
