Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 7485

حدَّثَناه بُندارٌ، حدّثنا أبو بكر الحنفيّ، حدّثنا عبد الحميد (2) بن جعفر، حدّثنا سعيد المَقبُري، أنه سمع أبا شُريح يقول: سمعَتْه أُذنايّ، وبَصُرَ عَينيّ، ووَعَاه قلبي حين تكلَّم به رسولُ الله ﷺ، ثم ذكر الحديث مثلَ حديث مالكٍ سَواءً (3). فأما الشيخان ﵄، فإنهما لم يحتجّا ولا واحدٌ منهما بعبد الرحمن بن إسحاق (4).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Shurayh (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke these words, my ears heard them, my eyes saw, and my heart preserved them. Then he mentioned the complete narration just like the hadith of Imam Malik.

(2) تحرَّف في النسخ الخطية إلى: عبد المجيد، وجاء على الصواب في "تلخيص المستدرك"، و"إتحاف المهرة" (17760).
Note / Clarification: In the manuscripts this name is corrupted into "'Abd al-Majid", while in "Talkhis al-Mustadrak" and "Ithaf al-Maharah" (17760) it appears in its correct form.
(3) إسناده صحيح. بندار هو محمد بن بشار البصريّ، أبو بكر الحنفيّ: هو عبد الكبير بن عبد المجيد البصري.
Grading: Its chain is sahih.
Note / Clarification: "Bundar" is Muhammad bin Bashshar al-Basri, and "Abu Bakr al-Hanafi" is 'Abd al-Kabir bin 'Abd al-Majid al-Basri.
وأخرجه مسلم (48) (16) عن محمد بن المثنى، عن أبي بكر الحنفيّ، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Imam Muslim (48/ 16) from Muhammad bin al-Muthanna, from Abu Bakr al-Hanafi, with this same chain.
وأخرجه أحمد (26/ 16371) و (45/ 27165)، ومسلم (48) (15) من طريقين عن عبد الحميد بن جعفر، به.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Imam Ahmad (26/ 16371, 45/ 27165) and Muslim (48/ 15) via two routes from 'Abd al-Hamid bin Ja'far, with this same chain.
وسلف برقم (7483) من طريق مالك بن أنس عن سعيد المقبري.
Reference / Source: This narration has already appeared under number (7483) via the route of Malik bin Anas from Sa'id al-Maqburi.

Technical note / Defect ('illah): Imam Muslim narrated only one hadith of 'Abd al-Rahman bin Ishaq, as a corroboration (mutaba'ah), at number (2225/ 116).
Note / Clarification: In the manuscripts this name is corrupted into "'Abd al-Majid", while in "Talkhis al-Mustadrak" and "Ithaf al-Maharah" (17760) it appears in its correct form.
