أخبرنا عبد الرحمن بن حَمدان الجلَّاب بهَمَذان، حدّثنا هلال بن العلاء الرَّقّي، حدّثنا عمرو بن عثمان الرَّقيّ، حدّثنا موسى بن أَعيَن، عن الأعمش، عن أبي يحيى مولى جَعْدة بن (1) هُبيرة، عن أبي هريرة، قال: قيل للنبي ﷺ: إِنَّ فلانةَ تصومُ النهار، وتقومُ الليل، وتُؤذي جيرانَها بلسانها، فقال: "لا خيرَ فيها، هي في النار"، قيل: فإنَّ فلانةَ تُصلِّي المكتوبة، وتصومُ رمضان، وتتصدَّقُ بأثوارٍ من أَقِطٍ، ولا تُؤذي أحدًا بلسانها، قال: "هي في الجنَّة" (2).
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that it was said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "So-and-so (a woman) fasts by day and stands (in worship) at night, but she harms her neighbours with her tongue." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no good in her; she is in the Fire." Then it was said: "So-and-so only prays the obligatory prayers, fasts Ramadan and gives a few pieces of cheese in charity, and she does not hurt anyone with her tongue." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "She is in Paradise."

Note / Clarification: In manuscript (Z) this word is corrupted into "bint".
(2) حديث حسن، عمرو بن عثمان الرَّقي - وإن كان ضعيفًا - متابع. وانظر ما قبله.
Grading: This hadith is hasan.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): 'Amr bin 'Uthman al-Raqqi - although he is da'if (weak) - has been corroborated (i.e. others narrate the same in support). See the previous narration.
