It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty has distributed your characters among you just as He has distributed your provisions among you. Allah Almighty gives wealth to those He loves and to those He does not love, but He gives faith only to those He loves. So whoever Allah has given faith, He has loved him. By the One in whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad ((peace and blessings be upon him))! No servant is (truly) a Muslim until his heart submits (to Allah), and no servant is a believer until his neighbour is safe from his bawa'iq (evils and harms)."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and complained about his neighbour, saying: "O Messenger of Allah! My neighbour harms me." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Go, take out your belongings and put them in the road." So he took out his belongings and put them in the road. Whoever passed by would ask: "What is the matter with you?" He would say: "I complained about my neighbour to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me to take out my belongings and put them in the road." So the people (hearing this) began saying (about that neighbour): "O Allah, curse him! O Allah, disgrace him!" The narrator says: When this reached that (neighbour), he came to him and said: "Come back (home with your belongings). By Allah, I will never harm you."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it; and it has another authentic supporting narration (shahid), also on the condition of Imam Muslim.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Juhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man complained to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about his neighbour, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Throw your belongings out in the road." The narrator says: People would pass by there and curse that (neighbour). Then that man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah! What (harsh words) I have had to endure from the people!" He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "What have you heard from them?" He said: "They curse me." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah cursed you before the people did." He said: "O Messenger of Allah! I will not do it again." Then the man who had complained came, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "You are now safe," (or he said:) "You have been sufficed."
