حدّثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدّثنا حُميد بن عياش الرَّمْليّ، حدّثنا مُؤمَّل بن إسماعيل، حدّثنا سفيان، عن حبيب بن أبي ثابت، عن خُميل، عن نافع بن عبد الحارث، قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "من سعادةِ المَرْء المسلمِ في الدنيا الجارُ الصالح، والمنزلُ الواسع، والمَركَبُ الهَنِيء" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، فإن خُمَيل مولى عبد الله بن الحارث الأنصاري روى عنه حبيب بن أبي ثابت غيرَ حديث.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Nafi' bin Abd al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among the causes of a Muslim man's happiness in this world are a righteous (good) neighbour, a spacious home and a comfortable mount."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, because Khumayl, the freed slave of Abdullah bin al-Harith al-Ansari, has had more than one hadith narrated from him by Habib bin Abi Thabit.

(3) صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد ليِّن، خميل - وهو ابن عبد الرحمن - لم يرو عنه غير حبيب بن أبي ثابت، وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات"، ومؤمل بن إسماعيل في حفظه لين، لكنه متابع. سفيان: هو الثَّوري.
Grading: This narration is "sahih li-ghayrihi", but this chain is "layyin" (weak).
Technical note / Defect ('illah): No one narrated from Khumayl - who is Ibn 'Abd al-Rahman - except Habib bin Abi Thabit, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in "al-Thiqat". Mu'ammal bin Isma'il had some weakness in his memory, but he has been corroborated. "Sufyan" is Sufyan al-Thawri.
وأخرجه أحمد (24/ 15372) عن وكيع، و (15373) عن أبي نعيم الفضل بن دكين، كلاهما عن سفيان الثوريّ، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Imam Ahmad at (24/ 15372) from Waki' and at (15373) from Abu Nu'aym al-Fadl bin Dukayn, and both of them narrate it from Sufyan al-Thawri with this same chain.
ويشهد له حديث سعد بن أبي وقاص عند ابن حبان (4032) بسند صحيح، وسلف بنحوه عند المصنّف برقمي (2672) و (2717).
Corroborating chains and supporting reports: It is supported by the hadith of Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him), which is in Ibn Hibban (4032) with a sahih chain, and a similar narration has already appeared with the author (al-Hakim) at numbers (2672) and (2717).
