مَنْ لَمْ يَرْحَمْ صَغِيرَنَا وَيَعْرِفْ حَقَّ كَبِيرِنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا

حدّثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدّثنا بحر بن نصر الخَوْلانيّ، حدّثنا عبد الله بن وهب، أخبرني أبو صَخْر، عن ابن قُسَيط، عن أبي هريرة، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "مَن لم يَرحَمْ صغيرَنا، ويعرف حقَّ كبيرِنا، فليس منَّا" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. آخر كتاب البر والصلة [كتاب اللباس] ﷽

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever does not show mercy to our young and does not recognize the right of our elders is not one of us."
This hadith is sahih al-isnad (its chain is authentic), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(1) صحيح لغيره، وهذا إسناد حسن. أبو صخر: هو حميد بن زياد، ويقال: ابن صخر، وابن قسيط: هو يزيد بن عبد الله بن قسيط الليثي.
Grading: (1) It is "sahih li-ghayrihi" (authentic due to other reports), and this chain is hasan.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): Abu Sakhr is "Humayd bin Ziyad", who is also called Ibn Sakhr, and Ibn Qusayt is "Yazid bin Abd Allah bin Qusayt al-Laythi".
وأخرجه البيهقي في "شعب الإيمان" (10473) عن أبي عبد الله الحاكم، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Bayhaqi recorded it in "Shu'ab al-Iman" (10473) from Abu Abd Allah al-Hakim, with this chain.
وأخرجه البخاريّ في "الأدب المفرد" (353) عن أحمد بن عيسى، وابن أبي الدنيا في "النفقة على العيال" (186)، والخرائطي في "مكارم الأخلاق" (341) من طريق خالد بن خِداش، كلاهما عن عبد الله بن وهب به.
Reference / Source: Imam al-Bukhari recorded it in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (353) from Ahmad bin 'Isa, and Ibn Abi al-Dunya in "al-Nafaqah 'ala al-'Iyal" (186) and al-Khara'iti in "Makarim al-Akhlaq" (341) via Khalid bin Khidash; both of them (Ahmad and Khalid) narrate it from Abd Allah bin Wahb.
وأخرجه بنحوه هناد في "الزهد" (1320) من طريق يحيى بن عبيد الله، عن أبيه، عن أبي هريرة.
Reference / Source: Hannad narrated something similar in "al-Zuhd" (1320) via Yahya bin 'Ubayd Allah, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah.
وسنده ضعيف جدًّا.
Grading: Its chain is very da'if (weak).
