حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا هارون بن سليمان، حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مَهدي. وأخبرنا أحمد بن جعفر، حدثنا عبد الله بن أحمد بن حنبل، حدثني أبي، حدثنا عبد الرحمن، حدثنا شُعبة، عن يعلى بن عطاء، أبيه، عن عبد الله (2) عن بن عمرو قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "رِضا الرَّبِّ فِي رِضا الوالد، وسَخَطُ الرَّبِّ فِي سَخَطِ الوالد" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The pleasure of the Lord lies in the pleasure of the father, and the displeasure of the Lord lies in the displeasure of the father."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

أخبرني أبو الحسين محمد بن أحمد القَنطَري، حدثنا عبد الملك بن محمد الرَّقَاشي، حدثنا أبو عاصم، عن سفيان. وأخبرنا أبو عبد الله الصَّفّار، حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى القاضي، حدثنا أبو نُعيم وأبو حُذيفة، حدثنا سفيان، عن عطاء بن السائب، عن أبيه، عن عبد الله بن عمرو قال: جاء رجلٌ إلى النبيِّ ﷺ فقال: إنِّي جئتُ أبايعُك على الهجرة وتركتُ أبوَيَّ يبكيان، قال: "فارجعْ إليهما، فأَضحِكْهما كما أبكَيتَهما" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I have come to pledge allegiance to you for Hijrah, and I have left my parents weeping. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Go back to them and make them laugh just as you made them weep."
