It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the womb (kinship) is a branch from the Most Merciful. It says: 'O my Lord! I have been cut off! O my Lord! I have been treated badly!' Then its Lord answers it, saying: 'Are you not pleased that I join whoever joins you, and cut off whoever cuts you off?'"
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: This hadith is sahih, but this chain is "layyin" (soft/weak) because of Muhammad bin 'Abd al-Jabbar - who is al-Ansari.
Technical note / Defect ('illah): This is because Shu'bah is alone in narrating from him (the only narrator from him). Imam Abu Hatim said: he is a "shaykh", and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in "al-Thiqat".
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Imam Ahmad (15/ 9871) from Muhammad bin Ja'far, with this same chain.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Imam Ahmad (13/ 7931, 14/ 8975, 15/ 9273 and 9871) and Ibn Hibban (442 and 444) via various routes from Shu'bah, with this same chain.
