Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 7476

أخبرنا مُكرَم بن أحمد القاضي، حدثنا موسى بن سهل بن كثير، حدثنا إسماعيل ابن عُليَّة، حدثنا عيينة بن عبد الرحمن بن جَوْشَن الغَطَفاني، حدثني أبي، عن أبي بَكْرة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "ما مِن ذنبٍ أجدَرُ أن يُعجِّلَ الله لصاحبه العقوبةَ في الدنيا، مع ما يَدَّخِرُ له في الآخرة، من البَغْي وقطيعةِ الرَّحِم" (3). وقد رواه شُعبة عن عُيَينة بن عبد الرحمن:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no sin more deserving that Allah Almighty should hasten the punishment for its perpetrator in this world, along with what He has stored up for him in the Hereafter, than transgression and severing ties of kinship."

(3) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد ضعيف من أجل موسى بن سهل، وقد توبع. وأخرجه أحمد (34/ 20398)، وأبو داود (4902)، وابن ماجه (4211)، والترمذيّ (2511) من طرق عن إسماعيل ابن علية، بهذا الإسناد. وقال الترمذيّ: حديث صحيح.
Grading: This hadith is sahih, but this chain is da'if (weak) because of Musa bin Sahl; however, he has been corroborated.
Reference / Source: It was narrated by Imam Ahmad (34/ 20398), Abu Dawud (4902), Ibn Majah (4211) and al-Tirmidhi (2511) via various routes from Isma'il Ibn 'Ulayyah, with this same chain.
Grading: Imam al-Tirmidhi said: This hadith is sahih.
وسلف برقم (3399) من طريق عبد الله بن المبارك عن عيينة بن عبد الرحمن.
Reference / Source: This narration has already appeared under number (3399) via the route of 'Abdullah bin al-Mubarak from 'Uyaynah bin 'Abd al-Rahman.
