أخبرَناه أحمد بن جعفر القَطِيعيّ، حدّثنا عبد الله بن أحمد بن حنبل، حدَّثني أبيّ، حدّثنا عبد الرحمن، عن سفيان، عن أبيه عن عَبَاية بن رِفاعة، قال: بلغ عمرَ أنَّ سعدًا لمّا بنى القصرَ قال: انقطَعَ الصُّوَيت (1)، فبعث إليه محمدَ بن مَسلَمة … الحديث، وقال في آخره قال عمر: إنِّي كرهتُ أن آمرَ لك، فيكون لك الباردُ وليَ الحارُّ، وحولي أهلُ المدينة قد قتلهم الجوعُ، وقد سمعتُ رسول الله ﷺ يقول: "لا يَشبَعُ الرجلُ دون جارِه" (2).

It is narrated from Abayah bin Rifa'ah that it reached Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that when Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) built a palace, he said: "Now the noise (of the common people), al-suwayt, has been cut off." So he sent Muhammad bin Maslamah to him (and he mentioned the hadith), and at its end it states that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I disliked to give you an order (of that kind) in which there would be ease for you and hardship for me, while around me the people of Madinah have been exhausted by hunger; and I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: 'A man does not eat his fill while leaving out his neighbour.'"

Hadith 7496

أخبرنا أحمد بن يعقوب الثقفيّ، حدّثنا موسى بن هارون، حدّثنا أبو الربيع الزَّهْرانيّ، حدّثنا جعفر بن سليمان، عن أبي عِمران الجَوْنيّ، عن يزيد بن بابَنُوس، عن عائشة قالت: قلت: يا رسول الله، إنَّ لي جارَينِ بأيِّهما أبدأُ؟ قال: "بأقرَبِهما منكِ بابًا" (3). هكذا يرويه جعفر بن سليمان عن أبي عمران الجَونيّ، والصحيحُ رواية شُعبة:

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah! I have two neighbours; with which of them should I begin (in giving gifts)?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one whose door is nearer to you."

Hadith 7497

حدَّثَناه أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدّثنا إبراهيم بن مرزوق، حدّثنا وهب بن جَرير، عن شُعبة. وأخبرنا أحمد بن جعفر، حدّثنا عبد الله بن أحمد بن حَنبَل، حدَّثني أبيّ، حدّثنا محمد بن جعفر، عن شُعْبة (1)، عن أبي عِمران الجَوْنيّ، عن طلحة بن عبد الله، رجل من بني تَيْم الله، عن عائشة قالت: قلتُ: يا رسولَ الله، إِنَّ لي جارَينِ، فإلى أيِّهما أُهدي؟ قال: "إلى أقرَبِهما منكِ بابًا" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، فإنَّ طلحة بن عبد الله بن عَوف (3) ممَّن اتَّفقا على إخراجه.

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah! I have two neighbours; to which of them should I give a gift?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one whose door is nearer to you."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), because Talhah bin Abdullah bin Awf is among the narrators whose narrations the two Shaykhs agreed upon.

Hadith 7498

حدّثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، أخبرنا محمد بن عبد الله بن عبد الحَكَم، أخبرنا ابن وهب، أخبرني حَيْوة، عن ابن الهادِ، أنَّ الوليد بن أبي هشام حدَّثه عن أبي موسى الأشعريّ، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "لن تُؤْمِنوا حتى تحابُّوا، أفلا أدلُّكم على ما تَحابُّون (4) عليه؟ " قالوا: بلى يا رسولَ الله، قال: "أَفشُوا السلامَ بينكم تَحابُّوا، والذي نفسي بيده، لا تدخلوا الجنَّةَ حتى تَراحَمُوا" قالوا: يا رسولَ الله، كلُّنا رحيمٌ، قال: "إنه ليس برحمةِ أحدِكم (1)، ولكن رحمةُ العامَّة، رحمةُ العامَّة" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You will not be believers until you love one another. Shall I not tell you of something by which you will come to love one another?" The Companions said: "Certainly, O Messenger of Allah!" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Spread the greeting of salam among yourselves and love will arise among you. By the One in whose Hand is my soul! You will not enter Paradise until you show mercy to one another." The Companions said: "O Messenger of Allah! All of us are merciful." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What is meant is not only your own (particular) mercy, but mercy to the people at large, mercy to the people at large."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Hadith Takhrij «إسناده ضعيف، لإعضاله بين الوليد بن أبي هشام وأبي موسى الأشعريّ، وقد جاء في مصادر التخريج بينهما الحسن البصريّ، وهو أيضًا منقطع، فالحسن لم يسمع من أبي موسى الأشعري كما قال ابن المديني وأبو حاتم، وقال أبو زرعة: لم يره، قاله ابن أبي حاتم في "المراسيل"» [ترقيم الرساله 7498] [ترقيم الشركة 7406] [ترقيم العلميه 7310]
