2 أَوَّلُ ثَلَاثَةٍ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ وَأَوَّلُ ثَلَاثَةٍ يَدْخُلُونَ النَّارَ

The first three to enter Paradise and the first three to enter the Fire

3 آكِلُ الرِّبَا مَلْعُونٌ

The one who consumes usury is cursed

The one who collects zakah justly is like one who fights in the cause of Allah until he returns

15 أَفْضَلُ الصَّدَقَةِ عَلَى ذِي الرَّحِمِ الْكَاشِحِ .

The best charity is that given to a relative who harbours enmity

Those for whom charity is lawful

18 مَنْ أَصَابَتْهُ فَاقَةٌ فَأَنْزَلَهَا بِالنَّاسِ لَمْ يَسُدَّ فَاقَتَهُ

Whoever is struck by poverty and takes it to people, his poverty will not be relieved

The virtue of giving

The best charity is that given from surplus wealth

The best charity is the effort of one who has little

Giving to relatives brings greater reward

It is sin enough for a man to neglect those he is responsible for feeding

32 كُلُّ امْرِئٍ فِي ظِلِّ صَدَقَتِهِ حَتَّى يُفْصَلَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ

Every person will be in the shade of his charity until judgment is passed between people

33 سَبَقَ دِرْهَمٌ مِائَةَ أَلْفٍ

One dirham outstripped a hundred thousand

34 الثَّلَاثَةُ الَّذِينَ يُحِبُّهُمُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى وَالثَّلَاثَةُ الَّذِينَ يَبْغَضُهُمْ

The three whom Allah the Exalted loves and the three whom He hates

35 تَأْكِيدُ الْإِعْطَاءِ لِلسَّائِلِ

The emphasis on giving to the one who asks

36 غَيْرَتَانِ إِحْدَاهُمَا يُحِبُّهَا اللَّهُ وَالْأُخْرَى يُبْغِضُهَا اللَّهُ تَعَالَى

There are two kinds of jealousy: one Allah loves and the other Allah the Exalted hates

37 مَذَمَّةُ شَتْمِ الدَّهْرِ

The censure of cursing time

38 إِذَا جَاءَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ فَأَوَّلُ مَنْ يُدْعَى بِهِ رَجُلٌ جَمَعَ الْقُرْآنَ وَرَجُلٌ كَثِيرُ الْمَالِ وَرَجُلٌ يُقْتَلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى

When the Day of Resurrection comes, the first to be summoned will be a man who memorised the Quran, a man of great wealth, and a man killed in the cause of Allah the Exalted

39 مَا تَرَكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ دِينَارًا وَلَا دِرْهَمًا وَلَا عَبْدًا

At his death the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) left neither dinar, nor dirham, nor slave
