It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when this verse was revealed: "And those who hoard gold and silver" [Surah al-Tawbah: 34], it weighed heavily on the Muslims. Upon this, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I will relieve you of this worry." So he went (to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Prophet of Allah, this verse has weighed heavily on your Companions." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty has made zakah obligatory only to purify the rest of your wealth, and Allah has fixed the shares of inheritance only so that they become (a source of wealth) for those who come after you." Upon this, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said Allahu Akbar (out of joy). Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you of the best thing a person can store as treasure? It is a righteous woman: when her husband looks at her, she pleases him; when he gives her an order, she obeys him; and when he is away from her (travelling or at work), she guards (herself and her husband's property) in his absence."
This hadith is sahih on the condition of the two Shaykhs, but they did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Grading: The chain is weak because of a break (inqita'), since between Ghaylan and Ja'far there is the link of Uthman Abu al-Yaqzan, who is weak. Reference / Source: Abu Dawud (1664) narrated it through Uthman bin Abi Shaybah, from Yahya bin Ya'la. Grading: In the narration of Ahmad (38/ 23101), Salm bin Atiyyah has slight weakness, but on the basis of other supporting reports it is "hasan li-ghayrihi". In it, after the warning about hoarding gold and silver, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared the best wealth to be "a tongue that remembers (Allah), a grateful heart and a wife who helps towards the Hereafter". (3094). Corroborating chains and supporting reports: A shahid for it is the hadith of Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) (Musnad Ahmad 37/ 22392). Imam al-Tirmidhi (3094) called it hasan. Corroborating chains and supporting reports: In the same meaning is the hadith of Abdullah bin Amr in Muslim (1467): "The world is an enjoyment, and the best enjoyment is a righteous woman." Corroborating chains and supporting reports: The hadith of Abu Hurayrah is in al-Nasa'i (5324): "The best woman is the one who pleases her husband when he looks at her" (and the rest of the hadith).
