حدثنا محمد بن صالح بن هانئ، حدثنا الفضل بن محمد بن المسيّب، حدثنا سعيد بن أبي مريم، حدثنا محمد بن مُسلم، عن عمرو بن دينار، عن جابر بن عبد الله، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "ليس على الرَّجُل المسلمِ زكاةً في كَرْمِه، ولا في زَرْعِه، إذا كان أقلَّ من خمسةِ أوسُقٍ" (2).

Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No zakah is due on a Muslim's vineyard or crops as long as it is less than five wasq (approximately 653 kilograms)."
This hadith is sahih on the condition of Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

(2) إسناده ضعيف، وقد سلف الكلام عليه عند الحديث برقم (1476).
Grading: Its chain is weak, and a detailed discussion of it has already passed under hadith no. (1476).
وأخرجه البيهقي 4/ 128 عن أبي عبد الله الحاكم، بهذا الإسناد. ¤ ¤ وأخرجه ابن خزيمة (2304)، وأبو الحسن الخِلعي في "الخلعيات" (591) من طريق منصور بن زيد الموصلي، عن محمد بن مسلم، به.
Reference / Source: Al-Bayhaqi (4/ 128) narrated it via Abu Abdullah al-Hakim. Ibn Khuzaymah (2304) and Abu al-Hasan al-Khil'i in "al-Khil'iyyat" (591) narrated it via Mansur bin Zayd al-Mawsili, from Muhammad bin Muslim.
وأخرج الطحاوي في "المشكل" (1483) عن يزيد بن سنان وفهد بن سليمان، عن سعيد بن أبي مريم، عن محمد بن مسلم الطائفي، عن عمرو بن دينار، عن جابر قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "لا صدقة في شيء من الزرع أو النخل أو الكرْم حتى تكون خمسة أوسق، ولا في الوَرِق حتى يبلغ مئتي درهم".
Reference / Source: Al-Tahawi narrated in "al-Mushkil" (1483) through Yazid bin Sinan and Fahd bin Sulayman, from Sa'id bin Abi Maryam, from Muhammad bin Muslim al-Ta'ifi, from Amr bin Dinar, from Jabir, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no zakah on crops, date palms or grapevines until they reach five wasqs, and none on silver until it reaches two hundred dirhams."
وأخرج عبد الرزاق (7250)، ومن طريقه ابن خزيمة (2306) عن ابن جريج، قال: أخبرني عمرو بن دينار، قال: سمعت غير واحد عن جابر بن عبد الله أنه قال: ليس فيما دون خمسة أواق صدقة، وليس فيما دون خمسة أوسق من الحب صدقة، وليس فيما دون خمسة أوسق من الحلو صدقة.
Reference / Source: Abd al-Razzaq (7250), and through him Ibn Khuzaymah (2306), narrated it from Ibn Jurayj, who said: Amr bin Dinar told me that he heard more than one person narrate from Jabir bin Abdullah that he said: There is no zakah on less than five uqiyahs, there is no zakah on less than five wasqs of grain, and there is no zakah on less than five wasqs of "hulw" (dates).
قال أبو بكر بن خزيمة: هذا هو الصحيح، لا رواية محمد بن مسلم الطائفي، وابن جريج أحفظ من عدد مثل محمد بن مسلم. وقال: يعني بالحلو: التمر.
Important point: Abu Bakr bin Khuzaymah said that this (the narration of Ibn Jurayj) is the correct one, not the narration of Muhammad bin Muslim al-Ta'ifi, because Ibn Jurayj is a greater memoriser (more reliable) than a number of narrators like Muhammad bin Muslim. He said that "hulw" means dates.
