حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا الربيع بن سليمان، حدثنا أَسد بن موسى، حدثنا أبو معاوية، عن محمد بن إسحاق. وأخبرني أبو زكريا يحيى بن محمد العَنْبَري، حدثنا إبراهيم بن أبي طالب، حدثنا هنَّاد بن السَّري، حدثنا عَبْدة، عن محمد بن إسحاق، عن بُكَير بن عبد الله بن الأشَجِّ، عن سليمان بن يسار، عن ميمونةَ زوج النبي ﷺ قالت: كانت لي جاريةٌ فأعتقتُها، فدخل عليَّ رسول الله ﷺ، فأخبرته، فقال: "آجَرَكِ الله، أَمَا إنَّكِ لو كنتِ أعطيتِها أخوالَكِ كان أعظمَ لأجرِكِ" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه!

It is narrated from the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), that she said: I had a slave girl whom I set free. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me, and I told him (peace and blessings be upon him) about it. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah reward you for it; but had you given that slave girl to your maternal relatives (your maternal uncles and others), it would have been greater in terms of your reward."
This hadith is sahih on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

أخبرنا محمد بن علي الشَّيباني بالكوفة، حدثنا أحمد بن حازم بن أبي غَرَزة، حدثنا قَبِيصة، حدثنا سفيان. وأخبرنا محمد بن أحمد المحبوبي، حدثنا أحمد بن سَيَّار، حدثنا محمد بن كثير، أخبرنا سفيان، عن محمد بن عَجْلان، عن المَقبُري، عن أبي هريرة قال: أَمَرَ النبيُّ ﷺ بالصدقة، فقال رجل: يا رسول الله، عندي دينار، قال: "تصدَّقْ به على نفسك" قال: عندي آخر، قال: "تصدَّقْ به على وَلَدِك" قال: عندي آخر، قال: "تصدَّقْ به على زَوجِك" - أو قال: "على زوجتك" - قال: عندي آخر، قال: "تصدَّقْ به على خادِمِك" قال: عندي آخر، قال: "أنت أبصَرُ" (1). صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered charity, and a man said: "O Messenger of Allah! I have a dinar." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Spend it on yourself." He said: "I have another." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Spend it on your child." He said: "I have another." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Spend it on your wife." He said: "I have another." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Spend it on your servant." He said: "I have another." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You know best yourself (where to spend it)."
