التَّسْمِيَةُ آيَةٌ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ
The Basmalah is a verse of the Quran
2 السَّبْعُ الْمَثَانِي فَاتِحَةُ الْكِتَابِ مَعَ التَّسْمِيَةِThe seven oft-repeated verses are al-Fatihah with the Basmalah
3 التَّسْمِيَةُ آيَةٌ سَابِعَةٌThe Basmalah is the seventh verse
4 التَّسْمِيَةُ اسْمٌ مِنْ أَسْمَاءِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَىThe Basmalah is one of the names of Allah the Exalted
5 أَخْبَارٌ فِي فَضَائِلِ الْقُرْآنِ جُمْلَةً - فَضِيلَةُ قِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِGeneral reports on the virtues of the Quran: the virtue of reciting the Quran
6 يُلْبَسُ صَاحِبُ الْقُرْآنِ تَاجَ الْكَرَامَةِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيَرْضَى اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْ تَالِي الْقُرْآنِThe companion of the Quran will be clothed with the crown of honour on the Day of Resurrection and Allah the Exalted will be pleased with him
7 يُقَالُ لِصَاحِبِ الْقُرْآنِ اقْرَأْهُ وَارْقَهْ وَرَتِّلْIt will be said to the companion of the Quran: Recite, ascend and recite slowly
8 نَزَلَ الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَحْرُفٍThe Quran was revealed in seven modes (ahruf)
9 الْأَمْرُ بِتَعَاهُدِ الْقُرْآنِ وَالنَّهْيُ عَنْ قَوْلِ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَThe command to keep revising the Quran and the prohibition of saying: I forgot such-and-such a verse
10 الْمَلَائِكَةُ نَزَلَتْ لِقِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِThe angels descended for the recitation of the Quran
11 الصِّيَامُ وَالْقُرْآنُ يَشْفَعَانِ لِلْعَبْدِ فَيُشَفَّعَانِFasting and the Quran will intercede for the servant and their intercession will be accepted
12 مَنْ لَيْسَ فِي جَوْفِهِ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ شَيْءٌ كَالْبَيْتِ الْخَرِبِOne who has nothing of the Quran within him is like a ruined house
13 الْجَاهِرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ كَالْجَاهِرِ بِالصَّدَقَةِ وَالْمُسِرُّ بِالْقُرْآنِ كَالْمُسِرِّ بِالصَّدَقَةِOne who recites the Quran aloud is like one who gives charity openly, and one who recites it quietly is like one who gives charity secretly
14 الْقُرْآنُ مَأْدُبَةُ اللَّهِ يَأْجُرُكُمْ عَلَى تِلَاوَتِهِ كُلَّ حَرْفٍ عَشْرَ حَسَنَاتٍThe Quran is Allah's banquet; He rewards you for reciting it with ten good deeds for every letter
15 مَنْ قَرَأَ عَشْرَ آيَاتٍ فِي لَيْلَةٍ لَمْ يُكْتَبْ مِنَ الْغَافِلِينَWhoever recites ten verses in a night will not be recorded among the heedless
16 يَجِيءُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الْقُرْآنُ كَالرَّجُلِ الشَّابِّThe Quran will come on the Day of Resurrection like a young man
17 قَالَ : " أَهْلُ الْقُرْآنِ هُمْ أَهْلُ اللَّهِ وَخَاصَّتُهُ "The people of the Quran are the people of Allah and His chosen ones
18 تَعَلُّمُ الْقُرْآنِ مَعَ الْعَمَلِ عَلَيْهِLearning the Quran along with acting upon it
19 مَا أُنْزِلَتْ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَلَا فِي الْإِنْجِيلِ وَلَا فِي الزَّبُورِ وَلَا فِي الْقُرْآنِ مِثْلُ فَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِNothing like al-Fatihah was revealed in the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms or the Quran
20 فَضِيلَةُ فَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ ، وَخَوَاتِيمِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِThe virtue of al-Fatihah and the closing verses of Surah al-Baqarah
21 أُعْطِيتُ فَاتِحَةَ الْكِتَابِ مِنْ تَحْتِ الْعَرْشِI was given al-Fatihah from beneath the Throne
22 رَقْيُ اللَّدِيغِ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَشِفَاؤُهُ وَأَخْذُ الْعِوَضِ عَلَى الرُّقَىTreating one stung by a scorpion or snake with al-Fatihah as ruqyah, his recovery, and taking payment for ruqyah
23 شِفَاءُ الْمَجْنُونِ بِقِرَاءَةِ فَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ عَلَيْهِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍThe healing of an insane man by reciting al-Fatihah over him for three days
24 أَخْبَارٌ فِي فَضْلِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ وَآلِ عِمْرَانَReports on the virtue of Surah al-Baqarah and Al Imran
25 فَضِيلَةُ آيَةِ الْكُرْسِيِّThe virtue of Ayat al-Kursi
26 سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ مِنَ الذِّكْرِ الْأَوَّلِSurah al-Baqarah is from the first remembrance
27 إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ لَا يَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا يُقْرَأُ فِيهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِSatan does not enter a house in which Surah al-Baqarah is recited
28 قِرَاءَةُ آيَةِ الْكُرْسِيِّ يُجِيرُ مِنَ الْجِنِّReciting Ayat al-Kursi gives protection from the jinn
29 آيَتَانِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ وَلَا تُقْرَآنِ فِي دَارٍ فَيَقْرَبُهَا الشَّيْطَانُ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍTwo verses at the end of Surah al-Baqarah: they are not recited in a house and then Satan comes near it for three nights
30 قِصَّةُ أَخْذِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ الشَّيْطَانَThe story of Muadh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) catching Satan
31 مَنْ أَخَذَ السَّبْعَ الْأُوَلَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌWhoever takes the first seven long surahs of the Quran is upon great good
32 تَعَلَّمُوا الْقُرْآنَ فَإِنَّهُ شَفِيعٌ لِأَهْلِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، تَعَلَّمُوا الْبَقَرَةَ فَإِنَّ تَعَلُّمَهَا بَرَكَةٌ وَتَرْكَهَا حَسْرَةٌ .Learn the Quran, for it will intercede for its people on the Day of Resurrection; learn Surah al-Baqarah, for taking it is a blessing and leaving it is a cause of regret
33 فَضِيلَةُ قِرَاءَةِ سُورَةِ الْكَهْفِ ذِكْرُ فَضَائِلِ سُوَرٍ وَآيٍ مُتَفَرِّقَةٍThe virtue of reciting Surah al-Kahf; mention of the virtues of various surahs and verses
34 سُورَةُ يس اقْرَءُوهَا عِنْدَ مَوْتَاكُمْSurah Ya Sin: recite it over your dying
35 مَغْفِرَةٌ لِرَجُلٍ بِشَفَاعَةِ سُورَةِ الْمُلْكِA man forgiven through the intercession of Surah al-Mulk
36 قِرَاءَةُ " قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ " بَرَاءَةٌ مِنَ الشِّرْكِReciting "Say: O disbelievers" is a disavowal of shirk
37 " إِذَا زُلْزِلَتْ " تَعْدِلُ نِصْفَ الْقُرْآنِ ، و " قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ " تَعْدِلُ رُبُعَ الْقُرْآنِ ، وَسُورَةُ الْإِخْلَاصِ تَعْدِلُ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ"When the earth is shaken" equals half of the Quran, "Say: O disbelievers" equals a quarter of the Quran and "Say: He is Allah, One" equals a third of the Quran
38 وُجُوبُ الْجَنَّةِ بِقِرَاءَةِ الْإِخْلَاصِParadise becomes obligatory through reciting Surah al-Ikhlas
39 إِنَّ أَصْفَرَ الْبُيُوتِ بَيْتٌ لَيْسَ فِيهِ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ شَيْءٌThe emptiest house is a house in which there is nothing of the Book of Allah
40 " أَلْهَاكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ " تَعْدِلُ أَلْفَ آيَةٍ"Competition in increase diverts you" equals a thousand verses
41 لَا يَنَامَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى يَقْرَأَ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِNone of you should sleep until he has recited a third of the Quran
42 فَضِيلَةُ الْمَعُوذَتَيْنِThe virtue of the two surahs of refuge (al-Muawwidhatayn)
43 مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ ، وَعَمِلَ بِمَا فِيهِ أُلْبِسَ وَالِدُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تَاجًا ضَوْءُهُ أَحْسَنُ مِنْ ضَوْءِ الشَّمْسِWhoever recites the Quran and acts upon what is in it, his parents will be clothed on the Day of Resurrection with a crown whose light is better than the light of the sun
44 مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ وَتَعَلَّمَهُ وَعَمِلَ بِهِ أُلْبِسَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تَاجًا مِنْ نُورٍ ضَوْءُهُ مِثْلُ ضَوْءِ الشَّمْسِ ، وَيُكْسَى وَالِدَاهُ حُلَّتَيْنِ لَا يُقَوَّمُ بِهِمَا الدُّنْيَاWhoever recites the Quran, learns it and acts upon it will be clothed on the Day of Resurrection with a crown of light
45 فَضِيلَةُ الْحَالِّ الْمُرْتَحِلِ وَبَيَانُهُThe virtue of the one who arrives and sets off again, and its explanation
46 لَلَّهُ أَشَدُّ أَذَنًا إِلَى الرَّجُلِ الْحَسَنِ الصَّوْتِ بِالْقُرْآنِ مِنْ صَاحِبِ الْقَيْنَةِ إِلَى قَيْنَتِهِAllah listens more attentively to a man with a beautiful voice reciting the Quran than the owner of a singing girl listens to her
47 زَيِّنُوا الْقُرْآنَ بِأَصْوَاتِكُمْBeautify the Quran with your voices
