أخبرنا أبو بكر بن أبي دارم الحافظ بالكوفة، حدثنا أحمد بن موسى بن إسحاق التميمي، حدثنا الفضل بن دُكين، حدثنا شعبة، عن سلمة بن كُهيل، عن أبي الأحوص، عن عبد الله قال: اقرؤُوا سورة البقرة في بيوتكم، فإنَّ الشيطان لا يدخلُ بيتًا يُقرأُ فيه سورةُ البقرة (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه. وقد أسنده عاصم بن بَهْدَلة عن أبي الأحوص:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: Recite Surah al-Baqarah in your houses, for the devil does not enter a house in which Surah al-Baqarah is recited.
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

(2) صحيح لغيره، أبو بكر بن أبي دارم - وإن كان متكلَّمًا فيه - قد توبع.
Grading: It is "sahih li-ghayrihi"; although Abu Bakr bin Abi Darim has been criticised, there is corroboration (mutaba'ah) for him.
وأخرجه الدارمي (3422) عن أبي نعيم الفضل بن دكين، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Darimi narrated it through the chain of Abu Nu'aym al-Fadl bin Dukayn.
وأخرجه أبو عبيد في "فضائل القرآن" ص 76 و 229، والنسائي (10734) من طريق محمد بن جعفر، والفريابي في "فضائل القرآن" (39) من طريق خالد بن الحارث، و (40) من طريق حجاج بن محمد، ثلاثتهم عن شعبة، به.
Reference / Source: Abu 'Ubayd, al-Nasa'i, al-Faryabi and Hajjaj bin Muhammad narrated it by way of Shu'bah.

Repetition: It will come at number (3066) by way of Adam bin Abi Iyas from Shu'bah.
