أخبرنا بكر بن محمد الصَّيرفي بمَرْو، حدثنا عبد الصمد بن الفضل البَلْخي، حدثنا مَكيّ بن إبراهيم، حدثنا عبيد الله بن أبي حُميد، عن أبي المَليح، عن مَعقِل بن يَسار قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "أُعطِيتُ سورةَ البقرةِ من الذِّكرِ الأوّلِ" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I was given Surah al-Baqarah from the First Reminder (the Preserved Tablet)."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(1) إسناده ضعيف جدًّا من أجل عبيد الله بن أبي حميد، فهو متروك الحديث كما قال الحافظ في "إتحاف المهرة" (16897).
Grading: Because of 'Ubayd Allah bin Abi Humayd this chain is "extremely weak", since he is a "matruk" (abandoned) narrator.
وأخرجه البيهقي في "شعب الإيمان" (2165) عن أبي عبد الله الحاكم، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: Al-Bayhaqi narrated it in "Shu'ab al-Iman" through the chain of Imam al-Hakim.
وأخرجه ابن السُّنّي في "عمل اليوم والليلة" (684) من طريق سعيد بن يحيى اللخمي، عن عبيد الله بن أبي حميد، به.
Reference / Source: Ibn al-Sunni narrated it by way of Sa'id bin Yahya al-Lakhmi.
وانظر تمام تخريجه برقم (2114) حيث سيأتي ضمن حديث مطوّل في فضائل جملةٍ من السُّور، وسيتكرر برقم (3065).
