It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) concerning the saying of Allah Almighty "And We have certainly given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses)" that he said: It refers to Fatihat al-Kitab. When Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) was asked where the seventh verse is, he said: It is Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful).
