حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا أبو جعفر أحمد بن عبد الحميد الحارثي، حدثنا أبو أسامة، عن سفيان الثَّوْري، عن معاوية بن صالح، عن عبد الرحمن بن جُبير بن نُفير، عن أبيه، عن عُقبة بن عامر: أنه سألَ رسولَ الله ﷺ عن المعوِّذتَين، فأمَّنَا بهما رسولُ الله ﷺ في صلاة الفجر (2).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about al-Mu'awwidhatayn (Surah al-Falaq and Surah al-Nas), and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the dawn (Fajr) prayer reciting these two surahs.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

أخبرني أبو بكر محمد بن عبد الله الورّاق، حدثنا الحسن بن سُفيان، حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله بن نُمير، حدثنا أبي، حدثنا طلحة بن يحيى، أخبرني أبو بُردة، عن أبي موسى: أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ بعث معاذًا وأبا موسى إلى اليمن، وأمَرهما أن يُعلّما الناسَ القرآنَ (1).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyiduna Mu'adh and Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with them both) to Yemen and ordered them to teach the people the Qur'an.
