Hadith 2103

أخبرنا أبو العباس محمد بن أحمد المحبُوبي، حدثنا سعيد بن مسعود، حدثنا يزيد بن هارون، أخبرنا يَمَان بن المغيرة العَنَزي البصري، حدثنا عطاء بن أبي رباح، عن ابن عباس قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: " ﴿إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ﴾ تَعدِلُ نصفَ القرآن، و ﴿قُلْ يَاأَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ﴾ تَعدِلُ ربعَ القرآن و ﴿قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ﴾ تَعدِلُ ثلثَ القرآن" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The surah 'When the earth is shaken' [Surah al-Zalzalah: 1] is equal to half of the Qur'an, the surah 'Say: O disbelievers' [Surah al-Kafirun: 1] is equal to a quarter of the Qur'an, and the surah 'Say: He is Allah, the One' [Surah al-Ikhlas: 1] is equal to a third of the Qur'an."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

أخبرنا أبو نصر أحمد بن سهل الفقيه ببُخارى، حدثنا صالح بن محمد بن حبيب الحافظ البغدادي، حدثنا غسّان بن الربيع، حدثنا جعفر بن مَيسرة الأشجعي، عن أبيه، عن ابن عمر، قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: ﴿قُلْ يَاأَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ﴾ رُبعُ القرآن" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.
