Dujayn Abu al-Ghusn narrates: I entered Madinah and met Aslam, the freed slave of Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). I said: "Narrate to me some hadith from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)." Aslam said: "I cannot do that, because I fear that I will add something or leave something out. Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me, let him prepare to take (his) house in Hell. And whoever has a hadith from me reach him and rejects it, I will be his opponent on the Day of Resurrection. When a hadith from me reaches you which you do not recognize (or with which you are not familiar), then say: Allah knows best."

Amr bin Dinar, who was the agent of al-Zubayr bin Shu'ayb al-Basri, narrates: The sons of Sayyiduna Suhayb (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Sayyiduna Suhayb (may Allah be pleased with him): "O our father! We see that the sons of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) narrate hadith on the authority of their fathers?" So Sayyiduna Suhayb (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me should prepare to reach his designated abode in Hell.'" Then the narrator mentioned the full hadith.
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Amr bin Dinar, the steward of the family of al-Zubayr, and he is matruk al-hadith (abandoned in hadith).

Hadith Takhrij«أخرجه المعجم الكبير للطبراني برقم: 7557»
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me should make his abode between the two eyes of Hell." This weighed heavily on his (peace and blessings be upon him) Companions. They said: "O Messenger of Allah! When we narrate a hadith, we add to it and leave things out." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I do not mean you. I only mean the one who attributes a lie to me, seeking by narrating it to disgrace Islam." The people said: "O Messenger of Allah! You (peace and blessings be upon him) said: between the two eyes of Hell. Does Hell have two eyes?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes! Have you not heard Allah Almighty saying: 'When it sees them from a distant place'?" (The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:) "So it can only see them with eyes."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, al-Ahwas bin Hakim, whom al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) and others declared da'if (weak), while al-Ijli, and Yahya bin Sa'id al-Qattan in one report, declared him thiqah (trustworthy). It was narrated from al-Ahwas by Muhammad bin al-Fadl bin Atiyyah, who is a weak narrator.

Whoever attributes a lie to me (the narrator is unsure, or perhaps the wording is:) whoever says on my authority something other than what I said, a house will be built for him in Hell in which he will dwell."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its chain is such that I have not seen anyone mention its narrators.
