بَابٌ فِيمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - .
One who lies about the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)

وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ الْجُهَنِيِ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ ، قَالَ الْبُخَارِيُّ وَغَيْرُهُ : كَذَّابٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ ، قَالَ الْبُخَارِيُّ وَغَيْرُهُ : كَذَّابٌ .
Sayyiduna Amr bin Murrah al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me, let him prepare to take his particular seat in Hell."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, al-Haytham bin Adi. Imam al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) and others say: He is a kadhdhab (great liar).
