بَابٌ فِيمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - .
One who lies about the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)

وَعَنْ نُبَيْطِ بْنِ شَرِيطٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ ، وَشَيْخُهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ نُبَيْطٍ كَذَّبَهُ صَاحِبُ الْمِيزَانِ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ إِسْنَادِهِ لَمْ أَرَ مَنْ ذَكَرَ أَحَدًا مِنْهُمْ إِلَّا الصَّحَابِيَّ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ ، وَشَيْخُهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ نُبَيْطٍ كَذَّبَهُ صَاحِبُ الْمِيزَانِ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ إِسْنَادِهِ لَمْ أَرَ مَنْ ذَكَرَ أَحَدًا مِنْهُمْ إِلَّا الصَّحَابِيَّ .
Sayyiduna Nubayt bin Sharit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me, let him prepare to take his particular seat in Hell."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir. In it, Imam al-Tabarani's teacher, Ahmad bin Ishaq bin Ibrahim bin Nubayt, was declared a liar by the author of "al-Mizan"; and as for the remaining narrators of its chain, I have not seen anyone mention any of them except the Companion.
