بَابٌ فِيمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - .
One who lies about the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)

وَعَنِ الْعُرْسِ بْنِ عُمَيْرَةَ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْأَفْطَحُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ زَهْدَمِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، قَالَ ابْنُ عَدِيٍّ : لَا أَدْرِي الْبَلَاءُ مِنْهُ أَوْ مِنْ شَيْخِهِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْأَفْطَحُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ زَهْدَمِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، قَالَ ابْنُ عَدِيٍّ : لَا أَدْرِي الْبَلَاءُ مِنْهُ أَوْ مِنْ شَيْخِهِ .
Sayyiduna al-Urs bin Amirah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me, let him prepare to take his particular seat in Hell."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain mentions: Ahmad bin Ali al-Aftah narrated this from Yahya bin Zahdam bin al-Harith. Ibn Adi says: I do not know whether the root of the problem is this narrator or his teacher.
