بَابٌ فِيمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - .
One who lies about the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)

وَعَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ مُرَّةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَعْلَى ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكُ الْحَدِيثِ .

Sayyiduna Ya'la bin Murrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me, let him prepare to take his particular seat in Hell."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; the chain of this narration contains a narrator, Umar bin Abdullah bin Ya'la, and he is matruk al-hadith (abandoned in hadith).
