بَابٌ فِيمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - .
One who lies about the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)

وَعَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ خَلَفُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ ، وَثَّقَهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ وَغَيْرُهُ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ بَعْضُهُمْ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ خَلَفُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ ، وَثَّقَهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ وَغَيْرُهُ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ بَعْضُهُمْ .
Abu Malik al-Ashja'i narrates from his father this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me, let him prepare to take his particular seat in Hell."
Imam al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and Imam al-Bazzar recorded this narration; its chain contains a narrator, Khalaf bin Khalifah, whom Yahya bin Ma'in and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), while some declared him da'if (weak).
