بَابٌ فِيمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - .
One who lies about the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)
Majma al-Zawaid 636 — One who lies about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ
وَعَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى - يَعْنِي الْأَشْعَرِيَّ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ ، ضَعَّفَهُ أَبُو زُرْعَةَ وَغَيْرُهُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ ، ضَعَّفَهُ أَبُو زُرْعَةَ وَغَيْرُهُ .
Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever deliberately attributes a lie to me, let him prepare to take his particular seat in Hell."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Khalid bin Nafi' al-Ash'ari, whom Imam Abu Zur'ah and others declared da'if (weak).
