بَابٌ فِيمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - .
One who lies about the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)

وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ فِي رِوَايَةِ حَدِيثٍ فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
قُلْتُ : هُوَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ خَلَا قَوْلِهِ : " فِي رِوَايَةِ حَدِيثٍ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ عَائِذُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
قُلْتُ : هُوَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ خَلَا قَوْلِهِ : " فِي رِوَايَةِ حَدِيثٍ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ عَائِذُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever attributes a lie to me while narrating a hadith, let him prepare to take his particular seat in Hell." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: This hadith is mentioned in the "Sahih", but without these words: "while narrating a hadith."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded this narration; its chain contains a narrator, A'idh bin Shurayh, and he is da'if (weak).
