Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever walks to see to a need of his Muslim brother, Allah Almighty will record for him one good deed in return for every step he takes, until he returns to the place where he parted from him. If the other person's need is fulfilled, he comes out of his sins like the day his mother gave birth to him; and if he perishes in the meantime, then what an excellent one who perishes! He will enter Paradise without any reckoning."
Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Rahim bin Zayd al-Ammi, who is matruk (abandoned).

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever helps a distressed person, Allah Almighty records for him seventy-three good deeds; by one of them He sets right that person's affairs of this world and the Hereafter, and seventy-two are a means of raising his ranks."

Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Umayr, who is Abu Harun al-Qurashi, and he is matruk (abandoned).
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah! Which of the people is most beloved to Allah Almighty? And which of the deeds is most beloved to Allah Almighty?" the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The most beloved of people to Allah Almighty is the one who is most beneficial to people. The most beloved of deeds to Allah Almighty is the joy that you bring to a Muslim, or that you remove some hardship from him, or pay off his debt, or drive away his hunger. That I walk with a brother of mine for some need of his is more beloved to me than that I perform i'tikaf in this mosque, that is, the Prophet's Mosque, for a month. Whoever restrains his anger, Allah Almighty will conceal his hidden faults. Whoever swallows his anger when, if he wished, he could act on it, Allah Almighty will fill his heart with ease on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever walks with his brother for some need of his until he gets it done for him, Allah Almighty will make his feet firm on the day when people's feet will slip."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in all three of his books; its chain contains a narrator, Sukayn bin Siraj, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever conveys the matter of his Muslim brother to the relevant authority, through which (that brother) attains some good or some difficulty is made easy, Allah Almighty will help him when crossing the Sirat bridge, when people's feet will be slipping."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Saghir; its chain contains a narrator, Ibrahim bin Hisham al-Nasa'i, whom Ibn Hibban and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), while Abu Hatim and others called him da'if (weak).
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty has some creatures whom He created for fulfilling people's needs; people turn to them for their needs. Those people will be safe from the punishment of Allah."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Rahman bin Ayyub, whom al-Tirmidhi declared da'if (weak) while grading his hadith hasan (good); the one who narrates from him is Ahmad bin Tariq, and I do not know him; the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever conveys the matter of a Muslim brother of his to a ruler, through which he attains some good or some joy comes to him, Allah Almighty raises that person in rank in the lofty ranks of Paradise."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains narrators whom I do not know. He also recorded it with another, weak chain, and he also recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, Allah Almighty has said: 'I created good and evil. So glad tidings to the one at whose hands I have decreed good, and woe to the one at whose hands I have decreed evil.'"
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Malik bin Yahya al-Nukri, who is da'if (weak).
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty has granted some people blessings, and He keeps those blessings with them as long as they keep fulfilling other people's needs and do not grow weary. When they grow weary, Allah Almighty transfers those blessings to other people."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Amr bin al-Husayn, who is matruk (abandoned).
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty has created some people whom He has singled out with blessings for the benefit of people. He keeps those blessings with them as long as they keep spending them; when they withhold those blessings, Allah Almighty takes them away from them and transfers them to other people."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Hassan al-Samti, whom Ibn Ma'in and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), and there is some weakness in him; however, his teacher Abu Uthman Abdullah bin Zayd al-Himsi was declared da'if (weak) by al-Azdi.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any servant to whom Allah Almighty grants a blessing, and grants it in full, and then directs people's needs towards him, and that person does not fulfil those needs, has exposed that blessing to decline."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain is jayyid (good).
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever walks to see to a need of his brother, it is better for him than performing i'tikaf for ten years. And whoever performs i'tikaf for one day seeking the pleasure of Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty places three trenches between him and the Fire, each trench wider than the distance between the east and the west."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain is jayyid (good).
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever relieves a Muslim of some distress, on the Day of Resurrection Allah Almighty will appoint for him two branches of light on the Sirat bridge; by their light a multitude will be illuminated whose number only the Lord of Might can count."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, al-Ala' bin Salamah bin Uthman, who is da'if (weak).
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "After the obligatory duties, the most beloved deed to Allah Almighty is bringing joy to a Muslim."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Isma'il bin Amr al-Bajali, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy), while others called him da'if (weak).
Sayyiduna Imam Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, among the things that make forgiveness due is bringing joy to a Muslim brother."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Jahm bin Uthman, who is da'if (weak).
Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever brings joy to a Muslim household, Allah Almighty will not be pleased with any reward for him less than Paradise."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Umar bin Habib al-Qadi, who is da'if (weak).
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever meets his Muslim brother with something that Allah Almighty loves, intending thereby to please him, Allah Almighty will please that person on the Day of Resurrection."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir, and its chain is hasan (good).
Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever removes some distress from a believer, Allah Almighty will remove his distress on the Day of Resurrection; whoever conceals the faults of a believer, Allah Almighty will conceal that person's faults; and whoever grants a believer relief from some hardship, Allah Almighty will grant that person relief from his hardship."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Shu'ayb, who used to sell sheets, and he is majhul (unknown).
Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Allah Almighty continues to fulfil the servant's needs as long as that person keeps fulfilling his brother's needs."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever removes some distress from a Muslim in this world, Allah Almighty will remove from him one of the distresses of the Day of Resurrection; whoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah Almighty will conceal that person's faults on the Day of Resurrection; and Allah Almighty keeps fulfilling the servant's needs as long as the servant is occupied in fulfilling his brother's needs."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its last part is mentioned in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Ubaydullah bin Zahr, whom a group declared thiqah (trustworthy) while others called him da'if (weak); the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever walks to see to a need of his Muslim brother, Allah Almighty shades him with seventy-five thousand angels who pray for him, and such a person keeps wading in mercy until he finishes; when he finishes, Allah Almighty records for him the reward of a Hajj and an Umrah." After this the narrator mentioned the full hadith. This narration has already passed in the Book of Funerals, in the chapter on visiting the sick.
Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Giving charity in secret extinguishes the anger of the Lord; doing good deeds protects against evil deaths; and keeping ties of kinship increases one's lifespan and removes poverty. Recite 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (There is no might nor power except with Allah) often, for it is one of the treasures of Paradise, and in it is a cure for ninety-nine ailments, the least of which is worry."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Asbagh, who is not known; the rest of its narrators have been declared trustworthy, though there is disagreement about them.
Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The most virtuous charity is that of the tongue." It was asked: "O Messenger of Allah, what is the charity of the tongue?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Intercession that frees a captive, or ends a matter of blood-retaliation, or through which you bring some good or kindness to your brother, or repel something hateful from him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Abu Bakr al-Hudhali, who is da'if (weak).
