وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " الْخَلْقُ كُلُّهُمْ عِيَالُ اللَّهِ ، فَأَحَبُّ الْخَلْقِ إِلَى اللَّهِ أَنْفَعُهُمْ لِعِيَالِهِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عُمَيْرٌ ، وَهُوَ أَبُو هَارُونَ الْقُرَشِيُّ ، مَتْرُوكٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "All of creation are the dependants of Allah Almighty, and the most beloved servant of creation to Allah Almighty is the one who is most beneficial to His dependants."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Umayr, who is Abu Harun al-Qurashi, and he is matruk (abandoned).
