وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنْ لِلَّهِ أَقْوَامًا اخْتَصَّهُمْ بِالنِّعَمِ لِمَنَافِعِ الْعِبَادِ ، يُقِرُّهُمْ فِيهَا مَا بَذَلُوهَا ، فَإِذَا مَنَعُوهَا نَزَعَهَا مِنْهُمْ فَحَوَّلَهَا إِلَى غَيْرِهِمْ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَالْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ السَّمْتِيُّ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ وَغَيْرُهُ وَفِيهِ لِينٌ ، وَلَكِنَّ شَيْخَهُ أَبُو عُثْمَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ ، ضَعَّفَهُ الْأَزْدِيُّ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty has created some people whom He has singled out with blessings for the benefit of people. He keeps those blessings with them as long as they keep spending them; when they withhold those blessings, Allah Almighty takes them away from them and transfers them to other people."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Hassan al-Samti, whom Ibn Ma'in and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), and there is some weakness in him; however, his teacher Abu Uthman Abdullah bin Zayd al-Himsi was declared da'if (weak) by al-Azdi.
