"إن موسى قال: يا رب أرنا آدم الذي أخرجنا ونفسه من الجنة فأراه الله آدم قال أنت أبونا آدم؟ فقال له آدم: نعم قال أنت الذي نفخ الله فيك من روحه وعلمك الأسماء كلها وأمر الملائكة فسجدوا لك؟ قال: نعم. قال: فما حملك على أن أخرجتنا ونفسك من ¤ الجنة؟ فقال له آدم: ومن أنت؟ قال: أنا موسى. قال: أنت نبي بني إسرائيل الذي كلمك الله من وراء حجاب لم يجعل بينك وبينه رسولا من خلقه؟ قال: نعم. قال: فما وجدت أن ذلك كان في كتاب الله قبل أن أخلق؟ قال: نعم. قال: فبم تلومني في شيء سبق من الله فيه القضاء قبلي؟ فحج آدم موسى فحج آدم موسى"
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, Musa (peace be upon him) said: O my Lord, show us Adam (peace be upon him), who caused himself and us to be expelled from Paradise. So Allah showed him Adam (peace be upon him). Musa asked: Are you our father Adam? Adam said to him: Yes. Musa said: Are you the one into whom Allah breathed of His spirit, whom He taught all the names, and He commanded the angels, so they prostrated to you? Adam said: Yes. Musa said: Then what led you to cause us and yourself to be expelled from Paradise? At this Adam asked him: Who are you? He said: I am Musa. Adam said: Are you the prophet of the Children of Israel to whom Allah spoke from behind a veil, without making any messenger from His creation an intermediary between Him and you? Musa said: Yes. Adam said: Did you not find that this was written in the Book of Allah before I was created? Musa said: Yes. Adam said: Then why do you blame me for something that Allah Almighty had decreed before I was even created? So Adam (peace be upon him) prevailed over Musa (peace be upon him); so Adam (peace be upon him) prevailed over Musa (peace be upon him)."

«إن موسى كان رجلا حييا ستيرا لا يرى من جلده شيء استحياء منه فآذاه من آذاه من بني إسرائيل فقالوا: ما استتر هذا التستر إلا من عيب بجلده إما برص وإما أدرة وإما آفة وإن الله عز وجل أراد أن يبرئه مما قالوا فخلا يوما وحده فوضع ثيابه على الحجر ثم اغتسل فلما فرغ أقبل إلى ثيابه ليأخذها وإن الحجر عدا بثوبه فأخذ موسى عصاه وطلب الحجر فجعل يقول: ثوبي حجر ثوبي حجر! حتى انتهى إلى ملأ من بني إسرائيل فرأوه عريانا أحسن ما خلق الله وبرأه مما يقولون وقام الحجر فأخذ ثوبه فلبسه وطفق بالحجر ضربا بعصاه فوالله إن بالحجر لندبا من أثر ضربه ثلاثا أو أربعا أو خمسا فذلك قوله تعالى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ آذَوْا مُوسَى فَبَرَّأَهُ اللَّهُ مِمَّا قَالُوا وَكَانَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَجِيها} »
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, Musa (peace be upon him) was a very modest man who kept himself covered; out of modesty, no part of his body could be seen. So those among the Children of Israel who wished to hurt him hurt him, and they began saying: He only covers himself this much because there is some defect in his body: either leprosy (white patches), or a hernia, or some other affliction. And indeed, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, willed to clear him of what they said. One day he went off alone, placed his clothes on a stone and began to bathe. When he had finished bathing, he went towards his clothes to take them, but the stone ran off with his clothes. Musa took hold of his staff and ran after the stone, saying: O stone, my garment! O stone, my garment! until he reached a gathering of the Children of Israel. They saw Musa unclothed, the best of Allah's creation, and Allah cleared him of the defect they used to speak of. Then the stone stopped, so he took his clothes and put them on, and began striking the stone with his staff. By Allah, the marks of his striking are still on that stone, three, four or five of them. And concerning this is the saying of Allah Almighty: 'O you who believe, do not be like those who hurt Musa; then Allah cleared him of what they said, and he was honoured in the sight of Allah.' [Surah al-Ahzab: 69]"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, there will be some people from my Ummah whose distinguishing mark will be the shaving of the head. They will recite the Qur'an, but it will not go beyond their throats. They will pass out of the religion as swiftly as an arrow passes through the game. They are the worst of all creation and all creatures."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, a group of the jinn have accepted Islam in Madinah. So when you see one of them (in your homes, in the form of a snake or the like), warn it three times (for three days) to leave. Then if it still appears to you after that, kill it after those three times."

«إن هاتين الصلاتين - يعني العشاء والصبح - من أثقل الصلاة على المنافقين ولو يعلمون فضل ما فيهما لأتوهما ولو حبوا عليكم بالصف المقدم فإنه مثل صف الملائكة ولو تعلمون فضيلته لابتدرتموه وصلاة الرجل مع الرجل أزكى من صلاته وحده وصلاته مع الرجلين أزكى من صلاته مع الرجل وما كان أكثر فهو أحب إلى الله تعالى»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, these two prayers, that is, Isha and Fajr, are the heaviest of prayers upon the hypocrites. If they knew how much reward there is in them, they would certainly come to them, even if they had to crawl on their knees. And hold fast to the first row, for it is like the row of the angels, and if you knew its virtue you would race towards it. And a man's praying together with another man (in congregation) is purer than his praying alone, and his praying with two men is purer than his praying with one man, and the more people there are, the more beloved it is to Allah Almighty."

"This man drew my sword from its sheath while I was asleep. Then I woke up, and the drawn sword was in his hand. He said to me: Who will save you from me? I said: Allah! So look, now he is sitting here before you."

«إن هذا الأمر في قريش لا يعاديهم أحد إلا كبه الله على وجهه ما أقاموا الدين»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, this matter (of rule and caliphate) will remain among Quraysh; whoever shows enmity to them, Allah Almighty will throw him down on his face, as long as they keep the religion established."

"Surely these dinars and dirhams destroyed the nations before you, and they are the very ones that will destroy you too."

"Indeed, this religion is very firm, so proceed in it with gentleness and moderation."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, this month has come to you, and in it there is a night better than a thousand months. Whoever is deprived of its blessings has been deprived of all good, and none is deprived of the good of that night except one who is truly deprived and unfortunate."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, this plague is a punishment, and it is the remnant of the punishment with which (earlier) peoples were punished. So when this epidemic spreads in a land while you are there, do not leave it to flee from it; and when it spreads in a land where you are not present, do not enter it."

"Indeed, this wealth is green and sweet. Whoever acquires it by its right is blessed in it, and whoever acquires it with the greed of the self is not blessed in it, and his example is like one who eats but is never satisfied. And the upper hand is better than the lower hand."

And there are many people who wrongfully deal with the wealth of Allah and His Messenger as their own desires please; on the Day of Resurrection there will be nothing for them except the Fire."

"Indeed, this mosque is not a place to be urinated in; it has been built only for the remembrance of Allah and for prayer."

"Indeed, this epidemic is a punishment by which Allah destroyed the nations before you, and some of it now remains in the earth; it comes at times and goes at times. So when it spreads in a land (region), do not leave it to flee from it; and when you hear about a land that this epidemic is there, do not go there."

"Indeed, this is a matter that Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam (women). So take a ritual bath (ghusl), enter the state of ihram for Hajj, and perform all the rites that a pilgrim performs, except that you should not perform tawaf of the House (the Ka'bah) and should not pray."

«إن هذا بكى لما فقد من الذكر» - يعني الجِذْع -

"Indeed, this (dry trunk) wept because it no longer heard the remembrance of Allah near it." (The narrator says that this refers to the palm-tree trunk.)

"Indeed, this is an angel who had never descended to the earth before this night. He sought permission from his Lord to greet me with salam and to give me the glad tidings that Fatimah is the leader of the women of the people of Paradise, and that al-Hasan and al-Husayn are the leaders of the youth of the people of Paradise."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, this is a day that Allah has made a day of Eid for the Muslims. So whoever comes to the Friday prayer, let him take a ritual bath (ghusl), and if he has perfume, let him apply some of it; and you must use the miswak (tooth-stick)."

"Indeed, this is the day on which, once you have stoned the Jamrah, it has been made permissible for you to come out of every restriction that was forbidden to you, except women. So if evening comes upon you before you have performed tawaf of this House (the Ka'bah), you return to the state of ihram just as you were before stoning the Jamrah, until you perform tawaf of the House."

«إن هذا يوم كان يصومه أهل الجاهلية فمن أحب أن يصومه فليصمه ومن أحب أن يتركه فليتركه» - يعني يوم عاشوراء -

"Indeed, this is a day on which the people of the Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic ignorance) used to fast. So whoever likes to fast it, let him fast it, and whoever likes to leave it, let him leave it." (The narrator says that this refers to the day of Ashura.)

"Indeed, these signs which Allah sends do not occur because of anyone's death or life; rather, Allah sends them to frighten His servants with them. So when you see any of them, hasten in alarm to the remembrance of Allah, to supplicating to Him, and to seeking His forgiveness."

"Indeed, this Ummah is an Ummah shown mercy; its punishment is in its own hands (that is, the afflictions that befall it in this world become its expiation). So when the Day of Resurrection comes, a man from the polytheists will be handed over to every man of the Muslims, and it will be said: 'This is your ransom from the Fire.'"

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, this Ummah is tested in its graves. Were it not for the fear that you would stop burying one another, I would have supplicated to Allah to make you hear the punishment of the grave that I hear. Seek refuge with Allah from the punishment of the Fire; seek refuge with Allah from the punishment of the grave; seek refuge with Allah from all trials (whether apparent or hidden); and seek refuge with Allah from the trial of the Dajjal."
"Indeed, this Ummah is tested in its graves. Were it not for the fear that you would stop burying one another, I would have supplicated to Allah to make you hear the punishment of the grave that I hear. «إن هذه الحشوش محتضرة فإذا أتى أحدكم الخلاء فليقل: أعوذ بالله من الخبث والخبائث»

"Indeed, these privies and toilets are places frequented by jinn and devils. So when any one of you goes to the toilet, he should say this supplication: 'A'udhu billahi min al-khubuthi wal-khaba'ith' (I seek refuge with Allah from the male and female evil jinn)."

"Indeed, these charities and zakah are like the dirt (impurities) of people, and they are lawful neither for Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) nor for the family of Muhammad."

"Indeed, nothing of people's ordinary speech is proper in this prayer; it consists only of glorification (tasbih), magnification (takbir) and the recitation of the Qur'an."

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, this prayer (that is, the Asr prayer) was presented to the nations before you and they neglected it. So whoever among you guards it today will have his reward twice over, and there is no prayer after it until the shahid (a star) appears."

"Indeed, these graves are filled with darkness for the people in them, and indeed Allah Almighty illuminates them for them through the blessing of my prayer (funeral prayer or supplication) over them."

"Indeed, this is not menstruation (menstrual blood); rather, it is blood from a vein. So when the days of menstruation have passed, take a ritual bath (ghusl) and pray, and when those days come, leave the prayer during them."

«إن يأجوج ومأجوج ليحفرون السد كل يوم حتى إذا كادوا يرون شعاع الشمس قال الذي عليهم: ارجعوا فستحفرونه غدا فيعيده الله أشد ما كان حتى إذا بلغت مدتهم وأراد الله أن يبعثهم على الناس حضروا حتى إذا كادوا يرون شعاع الشمس قال الذي عليهم: ارجعوا فستحفرونه غدا إن شاء الله واستثنوا فيعودون إليه وهو كهيئته حين تركوه فيحفرونه ويخرجون على الناس فينشفون الماء ويتحصن الناس منهم في حصونهم فيرمون سهامهم إلى السماء فترجع وعليها كهيئة الدم الذي اجفظ فيقولون: قهرنا أهل الأرض وعلونا أهل السماء! فيبعث الله عليهم نغفا في أقفائهم فيقتلهم بها والذي نفسي بيده إن دواب الأرض لتسمن وتشكر شكرا من لحومهم ودمائهم»
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Indeed, Ya'juj and Ma'juj (Gog and Magog) dig through the barrier every day, until, when they are about to see the rays of the sun, the one in charge of them says: 'Go back; we will dig it tomorrow.' Then Allah Almighty restores it (the barrier) stronger than it was before. Until, when their term is complete and Allah wills to send them against the people, they will come to dig, until, when they are about to see the rays of the sun, the one in charge of them will say: 'Go back; we will dig it tomorrow, in sha' Allah (if Allah wills).' (This time) they will make the exception (by saying 'in sha' Allah'). So they will return and find the barrier in the same state in which they left it. Then they will dig through it and come out upon the people. They will drink up all the water, and the people will shut themselves up in their fortresses to protect themselves from them. Then they (Ya'juj and Ma'juj) will shoot their arrows towards the sky, and the arrows will come back stained with blood. They will say: 'We have overpowered the people of the earth and prevailed over the people of the heavens!' Then Allah Almighty will send upon their necks a kind of worm by which they will all die. By the One in whose hand is my soul! Indeed, the animals of the earth will become fat and fully satisfied from eating their flesh and drinking their blood."
